Abstract: The present invention extends to independently programmable lights for use in gloves and to gloves that incorporate such lights. Each independently programmable light of the present invention can include a programmable controller that stores logic for controlling the light such as by changing the color emitted by the light or the on/off pattern of the light. The user of the glove can modify the logic within the programmable controller to customize the functionality of the light. These modifications can be made by connecting the programmable light or a dedicated control unit that connects to each programmable light to another computer system to transfer new or updated logic to a programmable controller for controlling the lights in a custom manner.

Abstract: Some embodiments include a method of operating a tunable light module. The method can include driving a lamp in the tunable light module, having lamps of at least two colors, to produce a colored light according to the color mixing plan that corresponds to a correlated color temperature (CCT); measuring a light characteristic of the lamp using a light sensor; detecting a degradation level by comparing the measured light characteristic against an expected light characteristic; and adjusting a current level for driving the lamp at the CCT by referencing the color mixing plan and an alternative coefficient corresponding to the degradation level.

Abstract: The invention relates to an illumination system comprising a luminaire which is configured to provide light according to a plurality of preset combinations of illumination level and color temperature, controlled via a control protocol. The system further comprises a user interface comprising means to (manually) select the illumination level and color temperature from said plurality of preset combinations. The number of preset combinations is at least three. The control protocol comprises transition times for transitions between said preset combinations, said transition times being in the range of about 2 seconds to about 5 minutes. The invention further relates to an illumination method using the illumination system and to a controller uploaded with said preset lighting settings. The use of the system in dependence on the activity, time of day or atmosphere in the classroom has been proven to improve the learning behavior of children. It therefore is a learning tool for teachers.

Abstract: Various embodiments relate to an apparatus for controlling a lighting device. A light control circuit can use a controlled lighting sequence control and drive viewed sections of a lighting device to display chroma key color or emit infrared light, while driving other unviewed portions of the lighting device to display ambient and incident lighting. The viewed and unviewed lighting sections can be based on the field of vision of an image capture device and can change in relation to movements of the image capture device. A sensor can make measurements to determine to field of vision of the image capture device and can be used to generate or modify the controlled lighting sequence. An image processing circuit can generate a composite image using the chroma key while maintaining the subjects that are captured using ambient and incident lighting.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus includes a structured light generation unit and a controlling unit. The structured light generation unit includes plural light sources and an optical element group. After plural light beams from the plural light sources pass through the optical element group, a first structured light pattern corresponding to a first light source is projected on a first position of the projection surface and a second structured light pattern corresponding to a second light source is projected on a second position of the projection surface. The first position and the second position are different. The controlling unit controls the first light source and the second light source to emit the light beams according to a time sequence. Consequently, the first structured light pattern and the second structured light pattern are projected on the projection surface according to the time sequence.
