摘要: An image forming device comprises a plurality of unit modules arranged in a main scanning direction, each unit module having a light source that modulates according to image data and a deflection unit which deflects the light emitted from the light source to scan a surface to be scanned. Areas scanned with each unit module are joined together to record the image. The image data includes fixed pixel areas in number equal to the number of the unit modules and which have one scanning line in common with the adjacent fixed pixel area, and variable pixel areas that link up the fixed pixel areas. The image data is constructed by adding pixels of each unit module to the variable pixel areas at a record start side or a record stop side of the fixed pixel areas, and the variable pixel areas are commonly shared between two neighboring unit modules.

摘要: The invention concerns image-recording apparatus, which records an image onto a sheet-film. The image-recording apparatus includes a mainframe; a main/sub-scanning unit that includes a main-scanning unit to expose a light-beam onto a sheet-film by scanning the light-beam in a main-scanning direction and a sub-scanning unit to convey the sheet-film in a sub-scanning direction; and a supporting member to mount and support the main/sub-scanning unit onto the mainframe at a supporting position. The height of the supporting position is substantially the same as that of a center of gravity of the main/sub-scanning unit. The sub-scanning unit is detachably integrated with the main-scanning unit to form the main/sub-scanning unit.

摘要: An automatic document feeder (ADF) used in a facsimile machine, photocopier or the like. A sheet path from a sheet inlet to outlet is defined by lower, intermediate and upper frames of the ADF. The sheet path is generally shaped like nullCnull when viewed laterally. The intermediate frame has a pivotable member that can be opened and closed, and a guide member for guiding a sheet passing over a platen glass. An elastic member is provided for biasing the guide member on the platen surface from a turning portion of the C-shaped sheet path. Therefore, it is possible to maintain a clearance between the platen surface and guide member and prevent the sheet from flapping. A retard roller is removably supported by the pivotable member so that replacing and maintenance of the retard roller is simplified. Further, the pivotable member is a one-piece element and made from resin. A plurality of ribs extending in a sheet feed direction are provided near the sheet inlet and/or outlet so that the weight of the automatic document feeder is reduced and movements of the sheets are facilitated.

The separator pad 68 is formed by branching a web 70 of a rubber sheet into fork-like pad units. The spring unit and the pad units are supported together by a bracket 76 and a holder member 78.

摘要: A small-size copying machine has an image sensor and a print head for printing image information or visible data on copying paper. The copying machine is moved over an original document to read the visible data with the image sensor, and the visible data read by the image sensor is printed by the print head on the copying paper. The reading of the visible data with the image sensor is synchronized with the printing of the visible data onto the copying paper with the print head by fixing an end of the copying paper discharged from the copying machine and moving the copying machine with respect to the original document. The distance from the position where the visible data of the original document is read to an outlet slit for discharging the copying paper therethrough is equal to the distance from the position where the visible data is printed by the print head on the copying machine to the outlet slit, so that the data printed on the copying paper and the image of the original document will be overlapped. The copying machine may have a tapered body portion with a reading slit defined therein for facilitating the reading of the original document with the copying machine. The copying machine may have an inclined bottom panel for allowing the copying machine to be moved easily over the original document. The copying machine may also have on sides thereof markings for indicating a width and a position where the original document is to be copied.
