摘要: A mobile wireless communication device includes: a communication device housing; an antenna module configured to provide an antenna pattern having a directional beam to transmit electromagnetic energy of outgoing signals and to receive electromagnetic energy of incoming signals; a beam-altering module communicatively coupled to the antenna module and configured to alter a three-dimensional direction that the directional beam is pointing; and a three-dimensional orientation sensor module communicatively coupled to the beam-altering module and configured to provide at least one indication of three-dimensional orientation information associated with the communication device; where the beam-altering module is configured to receive the at least one indication of three-dimensional orientation information associated with the communication device and to use the at least one indication of three-dimensional orientation information associated with the communication device to alter the three-dimensional direction that the directional beam is pointing.

摘要: An antenna comprises first and second conducting elements and first, second and third conducting lines. Each conducting element has a conductive surface. The first conducting line provides a short circuit between the conductive surfaces. The second conducting line has a first end electrically connected to one conductive surface and a second, free end. The third conducting line has a first end electrically connected to the other conductive surface and a second, free end. The second and third conducting lines are aligned along an axis X-X and each of the second ends of the second and third conducting lines serves as one of the terminals of a two terminal port F for feeding an RF signal of wavelength λ to the antenna. The first and second conducting elements are arranged with the conductive surfaces a face-to-face relationship, spaced apart by a distance d and the first, second and third conducting lines are arranged such that, when an RF signal is fed to the antenna, currents caused to flow in one conductive surface generate a magnetic field that at least partially cancels out the magnetic field generated by currents caused to flow in the other conductive surface and currents are caused to flow in the first, second and third conducting lines.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for an antenna coupler mechanism. The antenna coupler mechanism includes a first tuning leg, a second tuning leg, and a bottom plate. The first tuning leg includes a first inductive circuit element, the first tuning leg being configured to accept a radio frequency device in series with the first inductive circuit element. The second tuning leg includes a second inductive circuit element and a capacitive circuit element connected in series, the second tuning leg being connected electrically in parallel with the first tuning leg. In addition, the bottom plate includes a third inductive circuit element connected electrically in parallel with the first tuning leg and connected electrically in parallel with the second tuning leg, the bottom plate being configured to couple energy into a nearby structure.

Responsive to determining that transmitting the information at the specified transmit power level using the first duty cycle will cause the user device to violate the condition, the user device determines a new duty cycle that is lower than the first duty cycle, and transmits the information using the new duty cycle.

摘要: A hearing aid compatible mobile handset is provided with a parasitic element which is electrically connected to a groundplane of a circuit board. The parasitic element may have a length of around one-quarter wavelength of a frequency of interest. The parasitic element may be are arranged as a pair of parasitic elements. The parasitic element can be disposed in a location where the near field strength is near a peak so as to help reduce the near field level to a point that will allow operation of the handset adjacent a hearing aid.
