Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for entities in a 5G or 6G wireless network to indicate their geographical location to other entities. A base station can inform the user devices of its antenna location so that the users can direct beams toward the antenna. Mobile users can update their location information to the base station so that the base station can direct beams toward the mobile users in real-time. For example, the base station can embed the latitude and longitude of the base station antenna in a system information message, such as an unallocated portion of the SSB (synchronization signal block) which is periodically broadcast, and the users can transmit location-update messages to the base station using disclosed formats. By directing transmission beams and reception beams toward each other, base stations and users can obtain substantially improved reception with reduced background generation and reduced energy consumption.

Abstract: A wireless communication device may autonomously transition from a multiple antenna port mode to a single antenna port mode. The wireless communication device may implicitly notify a base station about the autonomous transition from the multiple antenna port mode to the single antenna port mode. The base station may reallocate resources that were previously allocated to the wireless communication device but that are no longer being used by the wireless communication device. In some cases, the base station may configure the wireless communication device's antenna port mode via radio resource control signaling.

Abstract: A third device stores a receive signal strength of a received response data unit transmitted by a second device after receiving a first data unit transmitted by a first device. The third device obtains a clear channel access parameter included in a header of a second data unit transmitted by the first device to the second device and detects transmission exchanges in each of a plurality of service sets to use as samples of overlapping service set activity. The third device determines a minimum transmit power to be used by the third device to send a transmission to the fourth device based on transmission exchanges between devices in a particular service set. The third device determines whether to send a transmission to the fourth device based on the clear channel access parameter and minimum transmit power.

Abstract: A method for performing uplink power control by a user equipment, the method includes receiving downlink, DL, hybrid automatic repeat and request, HARQ configuration information indicating a uplink-downlink, UL-DL, configuration used as a DL HARQ reference configuration; receiving downlink control information, DCI, containing transmit power control, TPC, information; determining transmit power of a physical uplink control channel, PUCCH, carrying ACK/NACK information for a physical downlink shared channel, PDSCH, based on the TPC information; and transmitting the PUCCH with the transmit power of the PUCCH, wherein the transmit power of the PUCCH is determined based on the TPC information according to the DL HARQ reference configuration.
