Abstract:
Embodiments are described for displaying charging status on a multi-screen device. In embodiments, a determination is made that the device is connected to a power source for charging the battery. In response to the determination, a battery charging indicator is displayed. In some embodiments, if the device was originally powered off or in a standby mode, after a predetermined period of time, the device will be powered off or returned to the standby mode, and the battery charging indicator will no longer be displayed.
Abstract:
Address books may be intelligently adapted. A sensor output is received indicating a measure of vibration of a mobile device. An address book associated with the mobile device is retrieved and condensed according to the measure of the vibration to generate address favorites. The address favorites are displayed on a display device of the mobile device, such that the vibration experienced by the mobile device determines which contacts in the address book are preferred.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed An example apparatus to update a spatially adjustable display disclosed herein includes a display size monitor to acquire an indication of a size of the spatially adjustable display, a service image comparator to compare the indication of the size to a size model, and a source image adjuster to invoke visual configuration adjustments to an output image of the spatially adjustable display based on parameters identified in the size model.

Abstract:
Methods and devices for controlling the displayed output associated with applications in connection with a multiple screen device are provided. More particularly, an application presented by the device in a dual portrait orientation can utilize the first screen to display control information, and can utilize the second screen to display content information. An application presented by the device in a dual landscape orientation can utilize both the first screen and the second screen to display content information.
Abstract:
A displaying method of an electronic device and an electronic device are provided. The electronic device may detect opening or closing of a cover, determine whether the cover is partially opened by measuring the degree of opening of the cover when opening of the cover is detected, and display a partial screen at a specified position in the screen when the degree of opening is determined to be partial opening. In addition, thereto, other embodiments may be included.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for displaying and presenting content. When presenting content in real time, contextual-zoom-focus and/or dynamic-zoom-focus may be placed on selected portions of the content. For example, the content may be zoomed and the selected portions of content may be repositioned to a central area of a display. Additionally, context may be maintained for the selected portions of content by at least partially displaying nearby content. In some cases, portions of content may be displayed in a progressive manner along a selected display path. Accordingly, context for the portions of content may be maintained along the display path. In some cases, placing contextual-zoom-focus and/or dynamic-zoom-focus on portions of content may be animated and the portions of content may perceptively zoom and glide into focus.
Abstract:
A wireless communication device is provided that includes a cellular telephony module to access a cellular network, a wireless communication module to access a non-cellular network, an antenna configured to be in wireless communication with a plurality of compatible and currently accessible communication networks including the cellular and non-cellular networks, and a mobile network analyzer operable to periodically send a packet through each of the compatible and currently accessible networks and time each of the compatible and currently accessible networks to determine a measured data packet throughput speed and data packet integrity.
Abstract:
Methods and devices including providing a device having at least a primary screen and a secondary screen; receiving a first input, where the first input comprises a cursive input on the primary screen; processing the first input to estimate a character based on the first input; displaying the estimated character(s); and displaying a selection, wherein the selection includes a chosen character selected from the estimated character(s).
Abstract:
Embodiments provide for a handheld device with a unified desktop for integrating the functionality of the handheld device with a larger computer system. When connected to a peripheral display and/or a display of the larger computer system, the handheld device provides a unified desktop displayed across the screen(s) of the handheld device and the peripheral display. The unified desktop unifies the functionality provided by the larger computer system and the handheld functionality, e.g., communication applications (e.g., phone, SMS, MMS). A user can seamlessly interact with applications, e.g., open, move, close, receive notifications, on the unified desktop whether the applications are displayed on the screens of the handheld device, or the peripheral display of the larger computer system.
