摘要: The invention relates to a method for collecting a traffic-related toll fee in a tolling system for at least one vehicle engaged in traffic. The method has the steps of wirelessly receiving and data-processing at least one first message from a group of multiple vehicles, said message being generated and wirelessly transmitted by a first vehicle as a result of an extraordinary traffic event detected by the first vehicle, and collecting a traffic-related toll fee for a second vehicle, which has likewise detected the extraordinary traffic event, depending on the result of the data-processing of the first message. The invention also relates to a vehicle device and to a central data-processing device with which at least sub-steps of such a method can be carried out.

摘要: A navigation device, when a vehicle travels through an area in which the use of an ETC device provided in the vehicle is not possible, can prevent that vehicle from being guided along an ETC device utilization rout. The navigation device sets, for each area, whether or not the use of the ETC device is possible; performs a first route search using a first cost condition regarding the route cost of an ETC device utilization route; performs a second route search using a second cost condition regarding a route cost for which the route cost of an ETC device utilization route is higher than with the first cost condition; and, on the basis of a setting status for whether or not the use of the ETC device in each area is possible, controls whether to perform the first route search or the second route search.

摘要: Identifying a vehicle in a toll system includes accessing image data for a first vehicle and obtaining license plate data from the accessed image data for the first vehicle. A set of records is accessed. Each record includes license plate data for a vehicle. The license plate data for the first vehicle is compared with the license plate data for vehicles in the set of records. Based on the results of the comparison of the license plate data, a set of vehicles is identified from the vehicles having records in the set of records. Vehicle fingerprint data is accessed for the first vehicle. The vehicle fingerprint data for the first vehicle is based on the image data for the first vehicle. Vehicle fingerprint data for a vehicle in the set of vehicles is accessed. Using a processing device, the vehicle fingerprint data for the first vehicle is compared with the vehicle fingerprint data for the vehicle in the set of vehicles. The vehicle in the set of vehicles is identified as the first vehicle based on results of the comparison of vehicle fingerprint data.

摘要: Control devices and methods for a road toll system that is based on vehicle-based on-board units, using recording vehicles, control vehicles and a violation server, wherein the recording vehicle reads out a toll parameter from the on-board unit of a passing vehicle via a DSRC radio interface, compares it to a shape parameter of the vehicle detected by a sensor, and based thereon, in case of inconsistency, generates a violation data record and transmits it to the violation server, wherein the control vehicle registers the position or surroundings thereof in the violation server, and the violation server makes available to a control vehicle such violation data records, the locations of the violations of which are within the surroundings of a position of the control vehicle, wherein the control vehicle issues an alert message when it detects a violating vehicle in the surroundings, and wherein, during the transmission of a violation data record from the recording vehicle to the violation server and/or from the violation server to the control vehicle, the violation data record is divided into a TCP part and a UDP part.

摘要: A system and method for vehicle lane determination using a CMOS image sensor camera to take periodic (or continuous) images of the road ahead of a vehicle. Using image processing techniques by counting how many road stripes or lines are to the left and right of the vehicle the current lane could be determined of that vehicle. Other information could also be determined by looking to see if the lines are solid or striped. Further embodiments include the use of a cellular telephone as the image sensor and to transit position information to a back office.
