The feeding apparatus is provided with a manually controlled adjustment which enables the operator to adjust the feeding apparatus to compensate for wear of the feed wheel with little or no interruption of the production cycle.

摘要： Precut pieces of wood of like configuration are stacked in a hopper from the lower end of which they are advanced one-by-one by a reciprocable pusher onto a horizontally disposed work station. As soon as a workpiece is positioned on the station it is automatically clamped into place, after which two rotary saws, which are mounted adjacent opposite ends of the station, are reciprocated from retracted to advanced positions, during which movement they cut away portions of the workpiece at opposite ends thereof. As soon as the saws have advanced passed the workpiece, they are retracted slightly away from opposite ends of the workpiece, so that they will not reengage the workpiece when they return to their starting positions. When the saws are retracted the now-cut workpiece is automatically released and then ejected from the work station, after which a cycling relay automatically causes another workpiece to be shifted onto the work station so that the above-noted steps are repeated. The electrical control means for the apparatus causes the cutting cycle to be repeated until the hopper is emptied.

摘要： Panel packs, made available cyclically at the outlet of a dividing machine and arranged side by side, are transferred to a station from which they are discharged simultaneously, either into a conventional stacking unit of the wedge and lifting platform type, or, after a 90.degree. rotation, into a composite transport runway where the packs are arranged either side by side or in sequence. Laterally of the runway are parallel rows of lifting platforms on which are stacked the packs of panels coming from the transport runway, so that panels of the same size will be stacked on each platform. Finally, the stacks of panels are discharged from the various lifting platforms and transferred to conveyors and sorters.

摘要： Apparatus for laterally ejecting elongate articles, such as tube lengths, from a channel defined by a roller bed, the channel extending beyond a flying saw for severing continuous lengths into said elongate articles, said apparatus being operated by a signal generator fitted to the flying saw so that an ejection operation is initiated by an optional delay after completion of a severing operation. Operation is not impaired in the event of the tube being fractured during the rolling operation, since the ejection operation takes place in timed relation to the severing operation and does not depend on detection of the presence or absence of tube ends.

The fixed saw also is configured for operation independently of the sliding saw for making the single cuts.Saw positioning means positions the sliding saw longitudinally, based on commands from a computer for removal of the defect with the minimum removal of clear lumber. Outfeed means which transports the clear piece of lumber out of the apparatus is tied to the sliding saw in a manner for translation therewith and is configured for transporting the piece of lumber at the same linear speed as the infeed means at all times including during the translation of the sliding saw.

摘要： The strips to be fed to a cutting line are positioned side by side on a supporting table. Above the table there is arranged a structure which is movable transversally with respect to the feeding direction of the strips. On the underside of the structure there are provided two pusher carriers, in the form of elongated bars carrying a plurality of pushers intended to engage the strips on the table. Each pusher carrier is movable, independently with respect to the other one, towards and away from the cutting line. The pusher carriers can be moved transversally with respect to the feeding direction, so that each one of the pusher carriers can selectively engage a predetermined number of strips. Thereafter, the pusher carriers are moved towards the cutting line independently the one from the other, with consequent variations of the amount of feed of the strips, which will eventually result into obtaining panels of different sizes from the different strips.
