摘要: The present invention relates to a process of multi-layer coating using a filler component comprisinga1) from 10 to 70% by weight of an aqueous dispersion of a water-dilutable polyurethane resin or of a plurality of water-dilutable polyurethane resins, the content of polyurethane in the aqueous dispersion being from 10 to 60% by weight, preferably from 20 to 50% by weight,a2) from 0 to 30% by weight of one or more amino resins and/or of a blocked polyisocyanate,a3) from 0 to 50% by weight of one or more physically drying binders which are different from a1),a4) from 5 to 40% by weight of one or more fillers and/or extenders,a5) from 0 to 30% by weight of color pigments and/or effect pigments,a6) from 0 to 5% by weight of one or more rheological auxiliaries and/or paint auxiliaries, anda7) from 0 to 10% by weight of organic solvent.The filler component is used to modify an aqueous basecoat composition, which is applied and followed by application of an aqueous basecoat second layer, a clear coat third layer, and then curing the coating layers together.

摘要: A process for forming a multilayer film having superior high white iridescent appearance which comprises applying (A) a liquid white coating which comprises a thermosetting resin composition, a metal powder coated with a white pigment, and a titanium dioxide pigment, (B) a light-iridescent coating, and (C) a clear coating onto a substrate in this order to form a multilayer film, and then heating the substantially uncured films to crosslink and cure them simultaneously.

摘要: To provide a paint composition capable of forming a coating film having a small graininess, having high flip-flop property, and having excellent chipping resistance and adhesion. According to the present invention, there is provided a paint composition including a hydroxy group-containing acrylic resin (A), a hydroxy group-containing polyester resin (B), an amino resin (C), and a titanium oxide-coated light interference pigment (D), which has an L*15 value of 100 or more and an L*110 value of 65 or less, wherein the solid content of the hydroxy group-containing acrylic resin (A) is in the range of 20 to 60 parts by mass, the solid content of the hydroxy group-containing polyester resin (B) is in the range of 10 to 50 parts by mass, the solid content of the amino resin (C) is in the range of 5 to 40 parts by mass, and the solid content of the titanium oxide-coated light interference pigment (D) is in the range of 3 to 25 parts by mass, relative to 100 parts by mass of the total solid content of the hydroxy group-containing acrylic resin (A), the hydroxy group-containing polyester resin (B), and the amino resin (C).

摘要: Provided is a method for forming a multilayer coating film that is capable of forming a multilayer coating film that has pearly luster with excellent blackness and high reflectance of an infrared laser. The method for forming a multilayer coating film includes applying a carbon black pigment-containing first colored paint (X) to form a first colored coating film; applying a second colored paint (Y) containing a pigment (A) that is a transparent or translucent base material coated with a metal oxide to form a second colored coating film; applying a clear paint (Z) to form a clear coating film; and heating the first colored coating film, the second colored coating film, and the clear coating film separately or simultaneously to cure these films, wherein the first colored coating film has a lightness L*(45°) of less than 20, the multilayer coating film has a lightness L*(45°) of less than 20, and the multilayer coating film has a diffuse reflectance of 10% or more at a wavelength of 905 nm.

The present invention simultaneously cures the formed multi-layer coating film by heating.

摘要: An object to be solved by the present invention is to provide a multilayer coating film forming method by which a multilayer coating film having reduced nonuniformity and exhibiting excellent luster and high flip-flop properties can be formed. The present invention provides a multilayer coating film forming method characterized by including: applying an aqueous first colored paint (X) containing a color pigment (x1) and an effect pigment (x2) on an object to be coated to form a first colored coating film; applying an aqueous second colored paint (Y) containing a viscosity modifier (y1), a color pigment (y2), and an effect pigment (y3) to form a second colored coating film; applying a clear paint (Z) to form a clear coating film; and curing by heating, wherein a solid content of the aqueous second colored paint (Y) is in a range of 0.1 to 6 mass %, an average value of light transmittance of the second colored coating film is 1% or lower, and a difference |R(X)−R(S)| between an average value of light reflectance of the first colored coating film and an average value of light reflectance of the multilayer coating film is 5% or lower.

摘要: The coating film formed on an automobile body has softness during a film formation even on a thermally expandable/shrinkable base, and the cured film has an excellent appearance.Provided is a method for forming a multilayer coating film, the method comprises: applying an aqueous intermediate coating composition and preheating the applied composition at 60 to 90° C. to form an uncured film;preheating to form an uncured base coating film and a clear coating film; and baking and curing these uncured films to form a multilayer coating film, wherein the aqueous intermediate coating composition comprises (a) an acrylic resin emulsion having a specific properties, and (b) a film formation auxiliary agent that is a fatty acid diester compound having a boiling point of 280° C. to 350° C., and a cured film comprising (a) and (b) at a mass ratio of 3:1 has a rupture elongation of 1% or more.

The laminated coating film (2) is designed to have high chroma at the highlight, and further to provide an appearance of denseness. To address this, the laminated coating film satisfies the following formula (1): (RH(P)/RH(OA))>60 (1) where RH(P) represents a highlight reflectance of light of the target color, and RH(OA) represents an average highlight reflectance of light in a wavelength range outside a hue range of the target color.
