摘要: Systems and methods are provided for controlling a vehicle system including an engine that is selectively shut-down during engine idle-stop conditions, the system further including a hydraulic circuit comprising a hydraulically actuated transmission component, an accumulator, and an auxiliary transmission fluid pump. One example method comprises, during a first idle-stop engine shut-down condition, where the accumulator pressure is above a threshold, delivering pressurized transmission fluid to the hydraulic circuit from the accumulator, while disabling the auxiliary pump. The method further comprises, during a second idle-stop engine shut-down condition, where the accumulator pressure is below the threshold, operating the auxiliary pump and delivering at least some pressurized transmission fluid to the hydraulic circuit from the operating pump without travelling through the accumulator.

摘要: Provided is a technology of carrying out activation annealing of n type impurity ions implanted for the formation of a field stop layer (n+ type semiconductor region) and activation annealing of p type impurity ions implanted for the formation of a collector region (p+ type semiconductor region) in separate steps to adjust an activation ratio of the n type impurity ions in the field stop layer to 60% or greater and an activation ratio of the p type impurity ions in the collector region to from 1 to 15%. This makes it possible to form an IGBT having a high breakdown voltage and high-speed switching characteristics. Moreover, use of a film stack made of nickel silicide, titanium, nickel and gold films for a collector electrode makes it possible to provide an ohmic contact with the collector region.

摘要: A valve-actuator for a hydraulic valve includes a valve chamber, ports spaced mutually and opening into the chamber, a spool axially located in the chamber for opening and closing hydraulic connections between at least two of the ports as the spool moves axially in the chamber. An actuator includes a housing having mutually spaced surfaces, and a piezoelectric element located in the housing between the surfaces, the element expanding and contracting in response to an electric signal applied to the element. A temperature compensation and motion damping circuit comprising feedback resistors and a thermistor. The spool moves axially in the chamber in response to expansion and contraction of the element.

摘要: A detector is operable to detect a displacement of a load by an ascending force based on a period of time from a time a heating output of an inverter drops from a predetermined level to a first level, to a time the heating output returns back to a second level larger than first level. Thereby, the detector distinguishes an intentional removal of the load from the displacement of the load by the ascending force. An induction heater including the detector reduces the displacement of the load by the ascending force and stops the heating of the load when the load is removed intentionally.

摘要: In an induction heating apparatus, in order to decrease the buoyancy exerted on an object to be heated which is made of a material having high electrical conductivity and low magnetic permeability, such as aluminum, an electrical conductor is provided between a heating coil and the object to be heated, thereby increasing the equivalent series resistance of the heating coil. Hence, the current of the heating coil, which is required for obtaining a desired heating output, is decreased, whereby the buoyancy of the object to be heated can be decreased. In addition, the electrical conductor is divided into two halves, and they are arranged in a circular arc form with a clearance provided therebetween and made close contact with the bottom face of a plate, whereby the temperature rise of the electrical conductor can be restricted. Furthermore, the heat of the electrical conductor is transferred and dissipated to the object to be heated, whereby the heating coil and the like are not damaged even if the electrical conductor is heated. An electrical conductor temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the electrical conductor is provided; when the detection temperature becomes a predetermined temperature, the heating output of a drive circuit is decreased, whereby the heat generation of the electrical conductor is decreased and the heating coil and the like are not damaged by heat.

摘要: An induction heater having a safety function of lowering or stopping the heating power when an object to be heated moves, the safety function hardly interfering with the cooking activities of a user is provided. The induction heater of the present invention comprises an induction heating coil, an inverter circuit, an output detection section for detecting the magnitude of the inverter circuit, a control section, a setting input section for setting a target output, a first movement detection section, and a storage section for storing a control value before the first movement detection section detects a movement of an object to be heated. The control section has a reach control mode where the output of the inverter circuit is gradually increased from a low output to a target output, a stable control mode where control is exercised so that the output of the inverter circuit agrees with the target output, and a first output mode where a control value derived from the control value stored in the storage section is output, and when the first movement detection section detects a movement of the object, the control section shifts to the first output mode.

摘要: After deposition of a conductor film made of titanium tungsten over a main surface of a semiconductor substrate formed with grooves, an initial conductor film made of aluminium is further deposited. Subsequently, the conductor film is made to reflow and run into the grooves. Thereafter, while heating, further conductor films are respectively deposited, thereby causing these conductor films to run into the grooves. The provision of the initial conductor film suppresses or prevents aluminium in the further conductor films and silicon in the semiconductor substrate from reacting with each other during reflowing of the conductor films.
