Abstract: Input data is received that includes a message for communication to a target player of a video game. A portion of the input data defining the message is automatically identified using a first artificial intelligence model component. A meaning of the message defined by the portion of the input data is automatically determined using a second artificial intelligence model component. A third artificial intelligence model component is used to automatically determine, based on the meaning of the message, whether or not the message is relevant to a current game state and game context of the target player. A communication to the target player that conveys the meaning of the message is automatically composed through use of a fourth artificial intelligence model component, when the message is determined to be relevant to the current game state and game context of the target player. The communication is delivered to the target player.

Abstract: A method is provided for facilitating communication between players in a video game, including the following operations: receiving video of a first player during gameplay of the video game; analyzing the video to identify gestures made by the first player; responsive to identifying the gestures, then translating the gestures into a text communication, wherein translating the gestures uses a context of the video game to determine content of the text communication; presenting the text communication through an in-game chat of the video game, for viewing by a second player during the gameplay of the video game.

Abstract: Machine learning is used to transform screen renders from the viewpoint of the player's character to be from the viewpoint of other non-player characters (NPC) in the room. One or more neural networks are trained using game images captured during a human play session, and then subsequently the neural networks are used to create realistic video from the NPC viewpoints. To avoid rendering multiple viewpoints simultaneously, a single viewpoint is rendered, and neural networks are used to transform it for the viewpoints of other NPCs in the area. A group of NPCs may be treated as a batch and a single viewpoint transformed to multiple viewpoints in a single inference pass. For cloud gaming the game video can be rendered/sent immediately for the player but the actions of the NPCs are delayed for a frame while the neural network generates the behavior.

PROJECTING CONTENT ONTO WATER TO ENHANCE COMPUTER SIMULATION

Abstract: Content is projected onto on the surface of water such that it can be viewed from either above or below the surface. Using distortion mapping, depth sensing, and de-noising, the image can remain unaffected by ripples and allow the user to interact within the body of liquid and/or use it as input. Liquids of different density can be layered on the surface to create different refraction planes. Water currents and jets can be used to actively reduce ripples from user interaction, as well as actively adding or removing liquid from the container to counteract displacement or create effect.
