摘要: Exemplary venues allow for members of an audience at different locations within these venues to simultaneously interact with an interactive content. The interactive content can convey one or more requisite actions to be performed by the members of the audience. However, the one or more requisite actions can reach members of the audience at different instances in time. These exemplary venues can effectively compensate for these different instances in time such that the accuracy and/or the synchronization of one or more response actions, which are performed by the members of the audience in response to the one or more requisite actions, can be characterized as no longer being dependent upon their distance from the interactive content. Rather, the accuracy and/or the synchronization of the one or more response actions by the members of the audience to the one or more requisite actions can be considered as being related to the performance, for example, timing, of the one or more response actions themselves.

摘要: A control device with a touch screen and motion sensors is held in one hand with the screen facing the user. Preferably, thumb motion of the hand holding the control device on the touch screen sensor of the control device is the input to control the motion and animations of an avatar, wherein the avatar motion is displayed on the control device touch screen or, in an embodiment, on an external display device. An important aspect of the present invention is tilting the control device, causing an angular rotation velocity, which can trigger a game event such as throwing, kicking, shooting or other action of the game.

The gameplay occurs on the giant screen at the front of the theater. Each person has a controller to control one character or avatar in a gameplay space that is projected on the screen. In a theater with one hundred people in the seats, for example, one hundred respective avatars can appear on the screen, each controlled by a respective different player.

摘要: The interactive theater system is executed on an interactive gaming computer (IG PC) configured to execute an interactive multi-player video game. The IG PC outputs a video stream to a display system, such as a projector and screen, which allows the players to view the multi-player video game. Each player sits in a multi-sensory seat for providing multi-sensory feedback to each player during execution of the interactive multi-player video game. The player provides input using an input device having an infrared camera and motion sensors. The infrared camera is used to image an infrared light arrangement positioned above-the multi-sensory seats. Infrared camera data and motion sensor data is used by the IG PC to accurately determine the real time position of each input device. Players in a first interactive theater system can compete with players in a second interactive theater system in real time.
