Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for identifying a mismatch between a user's common search space (CSS) and user-specific search space (USS). A base station (BS) may receive an indication that a user equipment (UE) decoded at least one beamformed signal transmitted by the BS in a USS and did not decode at least one beamformed signal transmitted by the BS in a CSS. The BS may take one or more actions based, at least in part, on the indication. Similarly, a UE may decode at least one beamformed signal transmitted by a BS in a USS, transmit to the BS an indication that the UE decoded the at least one beamformed signal transmitted in the USS and did not decode at least one beamformed signal transmitted by the BS in a CSS, and take one or more actions based, at least in part, on the indication.

Abstract: An apparatus capable of self-calibration in a low-interference environment is desired. In an aspect, the apparatus may be a user equipment (UE) or a neighboring base station. The device receives, from a base station, a self-calibration notification indicating one or more resources allocated for a self-calibration of the base station. The device performs, in response to the self-calibration notification, at least one of deactivating at least one component of the device based on the one or more allocated resources or adjusting utilization of the one or more allocated resources allocated for the self-calibration of the base station.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to monitor, via a receive beam, a first transmission time interval (TTI) of a plurality of different TTIs for a control resource set. The UE may decode the control resource set to obtain a first grant and a second grant. Upon decoding the control resource set, the UE may determine that the first grant and the second grant are associated with different parameters. In some cases, the parameters may be spatial quasi-colocation (QCL) assumptions mapped to the control resource set. The UE may decode, resources of a shared data channel indicated in at least one of the first grant and the second grant. In some cases, the UE may decode the resources during at least one of the first TTI and a second TTI of the plurality different TTIs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for transmissions of multiple instances of control information, such as remaining minimum system information (RMSI) that may be used for system access by a user equipment (UE). The multiple instances of the control information may be transmitted in a number of monitoring occasions that may be monitored by a UE, and within the monitoring occasions, the control information may be transmitted using different time locations, frequency locations, or combinations thereof. The locations may be identified based at least in part on one or more parameters associated with at least a first monitoring occasion. The one or more parameters may include an identification parameter associated with the base station or monitoring occasion, an index value associated with the monitoring occasion, a frequency parameter associated with the monitoring occasion, a control information multiplexing pattern, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be in communication with multiple base stations having a non-ideal backhaul link, where uplink and downlink transmission on a carrier may be sent on respective communication links. The transmissions may be synchronous or asynchronous, and the UE may identify a set of search candidates in overlapping TTIs associated with downlink transmissions from respective base stations. In some cases, a number or a timing of the set of search candidates may be based on the overlapping TTIs. The UE may also use different uplink transmit powers for transmissions on the different communication links. In some cases, a minimum reserved power may be used for each link where a remaining transmit power, for example, up to a maximum total transmit power, may be split between the links or applied to the uplink transmission that occurs temporally first.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods of beam switching are presented. A first beam switch message (BSM) is transmitted to a second device, the first BSM including a first instruction for switching beams. A reset state is selected from a plurality of reset states including a first state for the second device to disregard the first instruction and a second state for the second device to maintain execution of the first instruction. A second BSM is transmitted to the second device before the second device completes execution of the first instruction. The second BSM includes a second instruction for switching beams and indicating which reset state is selected.

Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to managing the transmission of uplink beams. For example, a first apparatus may generate a signal for transmission to a second apparatus. Thereafter, the first apparatus may detect a condition associated with transmitting the signal via a first uplink beam at a first transmission power. The condition may include the first uplink beam exceeding a maximum permissible exposure (MPE) limit. Accordingly, the first apparatus may refrain from transmitting the signal via the first uplink beam based on the at least one condition and transmit the signal to the second apparatus using a second uplink beam different from the first uplink beam.
