Abstract: Examples pertaining to bit selection for polar coding incremental-redundancy hybrid automatic repeat request (IR-HARQ) are described. An apparatus (e.g., UE) generates a re-transmission polar code block (CB) in a polar incremental redundancy HARQ (IR-HARQ) procedure. The apparatus then transmits the re-transmission polar CB as a re-transmission of an initial transmission of an initial polar code carrying a plurality of information bits. In generating the re-transmission polar CB, the apparatus selects one or more re-transmission information bits from the plurality of information bits.

Abstract: A User Equipment (UE) de-multiplexes a paging indication, which precedes a Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) in time and is generated using the same sequence generation formula as that for generating a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS) in the SSB. From the de-multiplexed paging indication, the UE detects that it is paged for message reception and wakes up to receive the message in a next data reception period of the UE's DRX cycle.

Abstract: A method for enhancing Bandwidth Part (BWP) operation towards Secondary Cell (SCell) dormancy indication is proposed. A User Equipment (UE) detects a Downlink Control Information (DCI) format including an SCell dormancy indication that indicates an active BWP change for a serving cell. The UE performs BWP switching for the serving cell in response to the DCI format. The UE stops transmission or reception in the serving cell during a time duration from a slot containing a last symbol of the DCI format, wherein the time duration includes a first period of time of delay for the BWP switching and a second period of time of interruption to other active serving cells.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication of a UE is provided. The UE determines resources of a first PDSCH and resources of second at least one PDSCH on a cell, the first PDSCH being a unicast PDSCH specific to the UE. The UE determines that the first PDSCH overlaps with the second at least one PDSCH in a time domain. The UE determines whether the second at least one PDSCH is another unicast PDSCH specific to the UE. When the second at least one PDSCH is not another unicast PDSCH specific to the UE, a duration required for decoding the first PDSCH meets a duration threshold, and the cell is in a first frequency range, the UE (a) refrains from decoding the first PDSCH independently of a transport block size of the second at least one PDSCH or (b) determines a transport block size of the second at least one PDSCH.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and wireless equipment are provided. The wireless equipment obtains an integer E and an integer N. E encoded bits are to be selected for transmission from N encoded bits output from an encoder. The wireless equipment determines F inputs from N inputs of the encoder based on E and N. The F inputs do not include S inputs that correspond to S outputs of the encoder generating encoded bits not to be transmitted. The wireless equipment sets the F inputs to a predetermined value.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication of a UE is provided. The UE determines that the K2 information bits are in a first predetermined relationship with a threshold. The UE transmits E2 encoded bits derived from the K2 information bits in a physical up-link channel to a base station, E2 being an integer greater than 0.

Abstract: A method to improve the design of new radio physical downlink control channel (NR-PDCCH) transmission and to reduce the false alarm rate of NR-PDCCH blind decoding is proposed. The downlink control information (DCI) bits are carried by NR-PDCCH to be transmitted to UEs after CRC attachment, channel encoding, interleaving, and modulation. The proposed NR-PDCCH design is separated into two parts. In a first part, a UE-ID or RNTI is used to derive a CRC mask or a scrambling sequence for CRC attachment of the DCI bits. In a second part, a UE-specific ID is used to derive an interleaver before or after channel encoding of the DCI bits. If the interleaver is placed before channel encoding, it takes the form of a bit interleaver. If the interleaver is placed after channel encoding, it takes the form of a bit interleaver or a channel interleaver.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The first UE receives data bits representing downlink control information from a base station. The first UE also determines a first set of bits of the data bits. The first set of bits indicates whether the received data bits include G sets of bits representing downlink control information directed to one or more UEs, G being an integer greater than 1. The first UE further processes at least one set of bits of the G sets of bits to obtain downlink control information directed to the first UE when the data bits include the G sets of bits.
