摘要： A plasma display panel and a method and apparatus for driving the same are provided that are capable of preventing miss-writing and improving discharge and light-emission efficiencies. In the panel, an upper substrate and a lower substrate are opposed to each other and have a plurality of discharge cells therebetween. A first upper electrode group is formed on the upper substrate and includes at least one electrode. A second upper electrode group is formed on the upper substrate in such a manner to be adjacent to the first upper electrode group and includes at least one electrode having a different width from the first upper electrode group. A data electrode is provided on the lower substrate in such a manner to be perpendicular to the first and second upper electrode groups.

摘要： A backlight assembly that does not use a bottom chassis is presented. The absence of bottom chassis reduces manufacturing cost, simplifies the assembly process, and facilitates heat dissipation. The backlight assembly includes a lamp, a light guide plate, a mold frame and a securing mold. The lamp unit includes a lamp that generates light and a lamp cover that partially encloses the lamp. The light guide plate receives the light from the lamp unit and guides the light toward the front of the backlight assembly. The mold frame receives the lamp unit and the light guide plate through an open portion. The securing mold is coupled to the lamp unit and combines with the mold frame to secure the first lamp unit. The backlight assembly relies on one mold frame to hold its components together.

摘要： A mask for depositing a thin film of a flat panel display and a method of fabricating the mask are disclosed. Embodiments of the mask can improve position accuracy and prevent problems caused by thermal expansion of the mask by attaching a reinforcing member and mask pattern units arranged on openings of the reinforcing member using a buffer member. The mask includes a reinforcing member including a plurality of first openings; mask pattern units arranged corresponding to the first openings of the reinforcing member and supported by the reinforcing member; and a buffer member including a plurality of second openings corresponding to the first openings of the reinforcing member, and attaching the reinforcing member to the mask pattern units to support the reinforcing member and the mask pattern units.
