Abstract: A stereo display panel is disclosed. The stereo display panel has: a collimated light display structure having first and second display regions configured to display left-eye and right-eye images respectively; and a light-redirecting structure disposed on a light exit surface of the collimated light display structure. The light-redirecting structure has a first portion and a second portion to deflect collimated light beams exiting from the first and second display regions towards predetermined left-eye viewing position and right-eye viewing position respectively, such that left-eye and right-eye virtual images seen by left and right eyes are located at a light incidence side of the collimated light display structure. A stereo display device having the stereo display panel is also disclosed.

Abstract: A display panel and a display device are disclosed and belong to the field of display technology. The display panel comprises a first substrate and a second substrate opposite to each other, a liquid crystal layer, a first electrode, and a second electrode between the first substrate and the second substrate, a waveguide layer between the first substrate and the liquid crystal layer, and a plurality of grating units which are combined with the liquid crystal layer and disposed in a same layer as the liquid crystal layer; wherein the first electrode and the second electrode are configured to adjust a refractive index of the liquid crystal layer by changing voltages applied thereto; and a coupling efficiency at which light is coupled out of the waveguide layer is determined according to a difference between a refractive index of the grating units and the refractive index of the liquid crystal layer.

Abstract: A virtual curved surface display panel and a display device are provided. The virtual curved surface display panel includes a flat display panel having a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, and an array of convex lenses arranged on a light exit surface of the flat display panel. The array of convex lenses makes a track of image distances of the pixels form a curved surface. By adjusting the focal lengths of the lenses, the image distances of the pixels in the flat display panel can be various. The images of the pixels are then distributed on a curved surface. A visual effect of a virtual curved surface can be achieved with a flat display panel, improving the effect of visual impact.

Abstract: A liquid crystal lens, a display device and a driving method of the display device are disclosed. The liquid crystal lens includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a driving electrode layer and blue phase liquid crystals disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate; the driving electrode layer includes driving electrodes, each driving electrode includes at least two electrode pairs, the electrode pair includes two sub-electrodes which are disposed opposite to each other and can be applied with a voltage separately, and all the sub-electrodes in the same driving electrode are insulated from each other; the sub-electrodes of different electrode pairs in the same driving electrode are unparallel to each other; and the blue phase liquid crystals at different positions have deformations of different degrees in electrical fields with different intensities generated by the different sub-electrodes.

The present disclosure can improve the color conversion efficiency of the display device.

Abstract: A fingerprint identification device, a touch display panel and a method for controlling fingerprint identification are provided in embodiments of the disclosure. The fingerprint identification device includes: a photoelectric sensor; and an optical waveguide, arranged on a touch substrate at another side, and configured to be in touch with a fingerprint, and comprising waveguide material portions and medium material portions, each of the waveguide material portions and each of the medium material portions being spaced apart from each other; and a light irradiating into the waveguide material portions is delivered to the surface(s) of the waveguide material portions facing away from the touch substrate after total reflections at interfaces between the medium material portions and the waveguide material portions. If a portion of valleys of the fingerprint gets in touch with the surface(s), since the portion of valleys is filled with air, then the light returns by total reflection so as to be identified by the photoelectric sensor; if a portion of ridges of the fingerprint gets in touch with the surface(s), the light at the portion of ridges is reflected by diffuse reflection so as not to be reflected back for identification by the photoelectric sensor. The fingerprint identification in embodiments of the disclosure is adapted to various display devices.
