Abstract:
An injection molding system (10) generally includes a molding device (100), a mold controller (200), and a negative pressure apparatus (300). The molding device defines a molding cavity (160) and a plurality of cooling channels (110) therein and has a plurality of heating elements (120). The heating elements are used for heating the molding cavity to a determined temperature. A cooling medium is supplied in the cooling channels to cool the molding cavity. The negative pressure apparatus is used for keeping the cooling channels in a negative pressure state, thereby improving the fluidity of the cooling medium during heat removal and avoiding leaving a portion of the cooling medium in the cooling channels during heating. Accordingly, the negative pressure apparatus can effectively decrease the heating and cooling terms/lengths. A method for using this system to manufacture a product made from a thermoplastic material is also provided.

Abstract:
An image sensor enabling automatic steganography is disclosed herein. One embodiment of such a sensor includes a single integrated system fabricated on a single substrate. In particular, the image sensor can include a digital pixel sensor; supporting circuitry, image modification circuitry, and memory all formed on a single chip. Also disclosed is a method for using steganography to hide information in images. The method comprises providing image data configured as a plurality of bit planes and providing information for insertion into the image and preparing that information for insertion into an image. A suitable bit plane is selected from among the plurality of bit planes and the information sought to be hidden is inserted into the image creating a steganographic image.

The present invention provides polypeptides of a novel ABC family cholesterol transporter, SSG. The herein-disclosed sequences can be used for any of a number of purposes, including for the diagnosis and treatment of cholesterol-associated disorders, including sitosterolemia, and for the identification of molecules that associate with and/or modulate the activity of SSG.

The invention provides methods and compositions relating to endothelial PAS domain protein 1 (EPAS1) and related nucleic acids. The proteins may be produced recombinantly from transformed host cells from the disclosed EPAS1 encoding nucleic acids or purified from human cells. The invention provides isolated EPAS1 hybridization probes and primers capable of specifically hybridizing with the disclosed EPAS1 gene, EPAS1-specific binding agents such as specific antibodies, and methods of making and using the subject compositions in diagnosis, therapy and in the biopharmaceutical industry.

A wireless communication device, a wireless communication method and a wireless communication system. The wireless communication device includes: a classification unit, used for, based on the channel qualities of downlinks of a target cell and other cells in a cell cluster on a specific resource block, classifying the overall condition of the channel quality; and a control unit, used for controlling, so as to determine the target transmitting power of the target cell on the specific resource block by using a power distribution method adapting to the classification. According to the scheme, the system throughput of a wireless network on the specific resource block under dense cell distribution can be maximized.

A carrier coordination device and system, a communications device and method, and a measurement device and method. The carrier coordination device includes: a receiving unit, used to receive interference information for describing interference suffered by a user equipment; and a coordination unit, used to determine an interfering source base station of the user equipment according to the interference information, and coordinate carrier use of the user equipment and/or the interfering source base station at least based on the interference information and carrier state information of the interfering source base station, to reduce the interference suffered by the user equipment. The technology can be applied in a wireless communications field.

A photodetector is described along with corresponding materials, systems, and methods. The photodetector comprises an integrated circuit and at least two optically sensitive layers. A first optically sensitive layer is over at least a portion of the integrated circuit, and a second optically sensitive layer is over the first optically sensitive layer. Each optically sensitive layer is interposed between two electrodes. The two electrodes include a respective first electrode and a respective second electrode. The integrated circuit selectively applies a bias to the electrodes and reads signals from the optically sensitive layers. The signal is related to the number of photons received by the respective optically sensitive layer.
