Abstract: A resource assignment method, and a recording medium and a distributed processing device applying the same are provided. The resource assignment method includes: when information regarding a plurality of tasks is received from a plurality of first nodes, calculating a size of a resource necessary for each of the received plurality of tasks; and when information regarding an available resource is received from a second node, assigning one of the plurality of tasks to the available resource of the second node, based on the calculated size of the resource necessary for each task.

Abstract: A method for generating firmware by allowing a developer to freely select functions to be included in firmware installed on a main board of a server, and by building a firmware image is provided. The method for generating firmware includes: listing functions that are allowed to be included in firmware installed on a main board of a server; receiving selection of at least one of the listed functions from a user; and building a firmware image including the functions selected by the user.Accordingly, since a firmware image is built by a developer freely selecting functions to be included in firmware installed on a main board of a server, firmware optimized for requirements of the developer can be generated.

Abstract: The described technology relates to a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) device. The LIDAR device can include a transmitter configured to emit an optical signal, a first lens section configured to convert the optical signal into collimated light, a reflector configured to adjust a direction of the converted optical signal, a second lens section configured to allow the adjusted optical signal to have the same focal plane even though a reflection angle of the reflector is varied and a third lens section configured to convert the optical signal passed through the second lens section into collimated light. The LIDAR device can also include a fourth lens section configured to allow the optical signal, and a receiver configured to receive the optical signal passed through the fourth lens section. The third lens section and the fourth lens section are positioned on the same line in a first direction.

Abstract: A system for managing digital signage is disclosed. The system includes a cloud server configured to generate and store signage sets each of which includes content setting information, context information, and event information in the form of a tree. The system further includes a plurality of digital signage configured to be provided in groups to each of the digital signage management servers, and receive content included in the signage sets from the digital signage management servers and output the content on the basis of the content setting information. The digital signage management servers receive characteristic information of a user in real time and transmit the content setting information and the content corresponding to the user's characteristic information to a corresponding digital sign.

Abstract: An ultraviolet-ray (UV) sensor is disclosed. In one embodiment, the UV sensor includes a piezoelectric material, a sensing film arranged on the piezoelectric material and senses ultraviolet rays, an elastic wave input unit arranged on one end of the sensing film on the piezoelectric material and provides the sensing film with an elastic wave generated based on an electrical signal and an elastic wave output unit arranged on the other end of the sensing film on the piezoelectric material and senses a change in frequency of the electrical signal generated based on the provided elastic wave. The UV sensor improves sensitivity of the sensor by enabling the particles having large surface areas due to their characteristics to react with a larger amount of ultraviolet rays. the UV sensor can secure price competitiveness since the UV sensor measures a change in frequency of the elastic wave using zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles.
