    Abstract: In an aspect, a wireless node (e.g., UE or BS) measures, at a first hop of a frequency hopping scheme, a reference signal (RS) on a first sub-band of an effective RS bandwidth, and measures, at a second hop of the frequency hopping scheme, the RS on a second sub-band of the effective RS bandwidth, the first and second sub-bands of the effective RS bandwidth overlapping in part.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One method of dynamically mapping encoded packets may include a base station identifying a set of encoded packets from a set of source packets. The base station may map subsets of the encoded packets onto a first and a second set of resources using different coding rates. In some examples, the base station may schedule one or more resources from the second set of resources for receiving feedback from one or more user equipments (UEs). In some examples, the base station may identify a second set of encoded packets from a second set of source packets and may map the second set of encoded packets onto the second set of resources and a third set of resources. A UE may recover the first or second sets of source packets based on the encoded packets transmitted by the base station.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to reporting channel state information (CSI) for a plurality of multiple transmission and reception points (TRPs) in a communication system. Downlink (DL) channels received from multiple TRPs are measured and a plurality of transmission hypotheses based on the measured DL channels from the multiple TRPs. The CSI is transmitted to a network in the communication system and includes a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) having at least a spatial domain basis matrix that is common to all of the transmission hypotheses and at least one coefficient matrix that is based on the spatial domain basis matrix.
