Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A central access node (CAN) may manage and schedule resources for a wireless mesh network. The CAN may transmit a first message to a relay access node (AN) to expedite transmission of a priority communication in the wireless mesh network. The first message may provide configuration information for modifying a preconfigured schedule to expedite the transmission of the priority communication. For example, the first message may provide configuration information to modify a preconfigured schedule to allow a first network node to transmit the priority communication to a second network node during a reserved time period. The relay AN may generate a second message regarding the modified schedule and transmit the second message to the second network node.

Upon the thermal gradient of a sector reaching a temperature threshold, the UE performs thermal management steps to prevent hardware of a respective sector from damage due to overshoot.

Unicast and/or multicast sessions may be set up to share the detailed information with the interested vehicles.

Abstract: Techniques for procedures using request to send/clear to send (RTS/CTS) procedures and multiple timers are described. A RTS/CTS procedure using multiple timers may use a first timer and a second timer. The first timer may be associated with a duration to transmit and receive a request to send (RTS) message and a clear to send (CTS) message. The second timer may be associated with a duration to transmit a data message. A network device may transmit a RTS message to request communication resources to transmit data. If the CTS message is not received prior to the expiration of the first timer, neighboring network devices may determine that the communication resources were not allocated and may attempt to request the newly available resources. If a CTS message is received, the network device may communicate the second timer data to the neighboring network devices in a variety of ways.

The transmitting device may transmit, in the each direction of the plurality of directions, the millimeter wave discovery signals, where the each transmitted millimeter wave discovery signal has a different orthogonal metric applied that was selected based at least in part on the at least one of the each direction or the location parameter.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless node may transmit directional signals in a sweeping transmission pattern while receiving communications from a second wireless node. Another wireless node may then, during a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure, receive one of the directional signals, and terminate a correspondence communication session to avoid potential interference. Additionally or alternatively, a wireless node may listen in directions in a sweeping receive pattern while transmitting to a second wireless node. While listening, the wireless node may detect a transmission from a third wireless node in a particular direction. The wireless node may then accordingly refrain from transmitting in that direction to avoid potential interference.

A mobile communications device receives a signal from a base station and measures a power of the received signal. The mobile communication device determines a transmission power level of a peer to peer reference signal as a function of the measured power of the received signal from the base station, wherein said function of the measured power of the received signal from the base station depends on a mobile target signal to noise ratio. Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A method for wireless communication at a first base station (e.g., corresponding to, associated with, or included in a first cell) includes receiving location information from a vehicle; identifying, based at least in part on the location information, a plurality of cells from which to broadcast a location message associated with the vehicle, where the plurality of cells include at least a cell of a second base station; and communicating with at least the second base station regarding a broadcast of the location message. A method for wireless communication at a vehicle include transmitting location information from the vehicle to a base station on an access stratum (AS) layer, and transmitting location message information to the base station.
