    摘要: A method and a highway addressable remote transducer (HART) modem for modulating and demodulating an analog signal including a HART message are provided. With low power consumption, the less computationally intensive HART modem modulates the analog signal using a coherent 8-ary phase shift keying (C8PSK) technique with a predefined gray code lookup table and a pre-generated sample lookup table having phase modulated digital signals indexed by index vectors, and transmits a HART C8PSK analog signal to sensor devices. A C8PSK demodulator in the HART modem demodulates the HART C8PSK analog signal by performing coarse estimation and fine estimation of phase errors and by estimation of a timing offset using a decision estimator. An automatic modulation classifier of the C8PSK demodulator validates presence of the analog signal in a C8PSK protocol by determining signs of in-phase and quadrature phase signals corresponding to each subsequent processed digitized sample of the analog signal.

    摘要: The invention describes an isolated driver (2) comprising a converter module (21) realized to provide voltage and current output to a load (3); a feedback arrangement (22) realized to monitor voltage and/or current during operation of the driver (2); and a converter controller (1) for providing converter control signals (CI, CF, VCON) to the converter module (21), and wherein the converter controller (1) comprises a single optocoupler (10) connected by input terminals to the feedback arrangement (22); and a switching circuit arrangement (11) connected to output terminals of the optocoupler (10), comprising a number of semiconductor switches (Q20, Q25, Q30, . . . , Q34) arranged to generate a converter control signal (CI, CF, VCON) for placing the converter module (21) of the driver (2) into a low-output mode (MLO) when a voltage across the optocoupler output terminals indicates a fault condition. The invention further describes an LED lighting arrangement (5) comprising such an isolated driver (2) for driving an LED lighting load (3) from a mains power supply (4). The invention also describes a converter controller (1) for an isolated driver (2), and a method of operating an isolated driver (2).

    摘要: In a powerline communications (PLC) network having a first node and at least a second node on a PLC channel utilizing a band including a plurality of tones, based on at least one channel quality indicator (CQI), the first node allocates for a tone map response payload only a single (1) power control bit for each of a plurality of subbands having two or more tones. The power control bit indicates a first power state or a second power state. The first node transmits a frame including the tone map response payload to the second node. The second node transmits a frame having boosted signal power for the tones in the subbands which have the first power state compared to a lower signal power for the tones in the subbands which have the second power state.

    摘要: A circuit is disclosed which eliminates chirp produced within an electronic flow measurement (EFM) system. In an exemplary embodiment, relays are positioned between the EFM Rxd input and the communications device input. One relay is closed while the operate signal reaches its high state, allowing data to pass between the communications device and the EFM Rxd input. When the operate line switches to a low state, the first relay opens disrupting the data path between the communications device and the EFM Rxd input preventing data from bouncing back between the two points. The second relay may close grounding the data signal from the communications device eliminating noise from the line.
