Abstract: An end piece for connecting a prop rod to a seat includes a body having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. A flange is formed on the second end of the body, and is configured to abut the seat. The end piece may have a hole defined in the first end of the body, such that the prop rod inserted into the hole, or the end piece may connect to the prop rod with other structure. The end piece has a top key formed on the flange. The top key extends away from the body and helps hold the end piece to the seat.

Abstract: An opening and closing apparatus of the folding type includes a guiding part, a slider, a first link, and a second link. The guiding part has a guiding protrusion and a guiding bend for longitudinal movement of the slider therein and is fixed on a frame. One side of the first link is hinged to the lower side of the guiding part. The other side of the first link is hinged to the link-connecting portion of the second link. Centering about the link-connecting portion, one side of the second link is hinged with a movable frame and the other side thereof is connected with a rotating part of the slider. The slider has friction-reducing portions to prevent the slider from frictional wear with the guiding protrusion, the guiding bend, and the slider connecting portion. The slider has a locking protrusion for maintaining the apparatus in a closed state.

Abstract: A security bar for a door is mounted on retainers on each side of the frame of the door. Each retainer has a base surface, the inclination of which can be adjusted relative to the head of the retainer to accommodate door trim that inclines relative to the plane of the frame. The bar has slots on each end for engaging the retainer. One of the slots is parallel with the axis of the bar for sliding over one of the retainers. The other slot is perpendicular to the axis of the bar for sliding downwardly onto the other retainer. A sliding locking plate locks the bar to the retainer once in position. The retainers can be installed on wooden door frames, or on metal door frames. On metal door frames, a placement hole is drilled on the inside of the door frame to insert a barrel nut. A placement tool holds the barrel nut while tightening to a screw extending through the retainer.

Abstract: A door operating mechanism for a cab door of a material handling implement is disclosed which includes a hold-open latch arrangement for conveniently maintaining the door in a partially open position. The operating mechanism includes a selectively operable door latch mechanism mounted on the cab door which cooperates with a latch pin mounted on the cab frame for releasably maintaining the cab door in a closed position. The hold-open latch of the mechanism is pivotally mounted on the cab door for movement between active and inactive positions, whereby in the active position thereof the hold-open latch is releasably engageable with the frame-mounted latch pin. By this construction, the hold-open latch and latch pin can be positioned in cooperating engagement with each other whereby the cab door is maintained in a partially open position. Very effective ventilation of the operator's cab is provided when the door is in its partially open position, thus avoiding the need for relatively complex and expensive movable window assemblies or the like in the cab door construction.

Abstract: A pivot bearing between first and second components (10,11) each of which is formed from a metal material. The pivot bearing comprises a hollow annular boss (14) which is formed as an integral part of the first component (10) by being drawn from the base material from which the first component is formed.
