A frame attachment that is fastened to a first end of the air stopper might also be included in certain embodiments. In certain implementations, there is additionally a handle attachment that is coupled to a second end of the air stopper. This handle attachment may contain a handle coupler. Adjustability along the longitudinal axis of the handle attachment is possible in certain implementations. A hook that can be detached from its attachment to a doorknob might serve as the handle coupler in various implementations of the invention.

摘要: A snap-on safety guard for door gaps preferably includes a jamb split tube and a cover plate. The jamb split tube includes a lengthwise gap. An adjustable jamb split tube includes a first jamb section and a second jamb section. A curved jamb device is retained in a kerf slot of a kerf-style door. A molding lip extends inward from one end of the curved jamb device and a kerf lip extends inward from an opposing end thereof. A U-shaped clip is retained in a kerf slot of a kerf-style door. The U-shaped clip includes a kerf base, an inner kerf lip and an outer kerf lip. The cover plate preferably includes a flat plate with at least one living hinge formed parallel with a length of the cover plate. An inner surface of the cover plate is attached to one of the jamb tubes.

摘要: A universal add-on device for controlling a movable barrier opener to open and close a movable barrier includes a control module which wirelessly communicates with a user's mobile electronic device. The opener includes a hand-held remote transmitter having a push-button switch. The hand-held remote transmitter is configured to transmit wireless signals to the opener for initiating the opener to move the movable barrier upon actuation of a push button of the push-button switch. The control module is either connected to an actuator to physically actuate the push-button switch of the hand-held remote transmitter or electrically connected in parallel with the push-button switch to electrically actuate the push-button switch of the hand-held remote transmitter. The device enables a manufacturer's compatible remote transmitter or a universal remote transmitter to be utilized to control the movable barrier using the user's mobile electronic device such as a smart phone.

In one aspect, a window unit includes an insulated glass unit including an optically switchable pane. A wire assembly may be attached to the edge of the insulated glass unit and may include wires in electrical communication with electrodes of the optically switchable pane. A floating connector may be attached to a distal end of the wire assembly. The floating connector may include a flange and a nose, with two holes in the flange for affixing the floating connector to a first frame. The nose may include a terminal face that present two exposed contacts of opposite polarity.

摘要: A device and method for automatically closing a tailgate of a motor vehicle having a body and a tailgate closing device, is described. The tailgate closing device comprises first and second closing elements. A suspension strut is situated on a first side of the tailgate and a power strut is situated on a second side of the tailgate opposite the first side. The suspension strut and the power strut are both connected to the tailgate and to the body. The first closing element is situated on the tailgate and the second closing element is situated on the body. The first and second closing elements are designed to engage into each other during the closing of the tailgate to effectuate the closure of the tailgate. The torque acting via the power strut onto the tailgate is reduced during the closing of the tailgate when the distance between the first and second closing elements is less than a threshold value.

摘要: A two-sided door usage safety system for preventing door related injuries includes a housing having a front end and a rear end each having a first engagement mechanism. The housing is configured to fit through a sensor aperture in a door. A pair of motion sensors and a pair of LED indicators are coupled within the front end and the rear end. A logic chip and a battery are coupled within an inner cavity of the housing. Each of a pair of face plates has a central viewing window and a second engagement mechanism that is selectively engageable with the first engagement mechanism. The pair of motion sensors and the logic chip are configured to detect when two people are simultaneously approaching the door from either side and to illuminate the pair of LED indicators to warn the people to open the door with caution.
