Abstract: A fenestration automated operating system includes a fenestration frame, fenestration panel and one or both of a panel operating assembly or a panel latch assembly. The panel operating assembly is coupled with one or both of the fenestration frame or the fenestration panel. The panel operating assembly includes a panel actuator coupled with the panel actuator. A panel latch assembly is coupled with one or both of the fenestration frame or the fenestration panel. The panel latch assembly includes a latch and a latch actuator coupled with the latch. A fenestration controller is configured to operate each of the latch actuator and the panel actuator.

Abstract: A flight management system for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), in which the UAV is equipped for cellular fourth generation (4G) flight control. The UAV caries on-board a 4G modem, an antenna connected to the modem for providing for downlink wireless RF. A computer is connected to the modem. A 4G infrastructure to support sending via uplink and receiving via downlink from and to the UAV. The infrastructure further includes 4G base stations capable of communicating with the UAV along its flight path. An antenna in the base station is capable of supporting a downlink to the UAV. A control centre accepts navigation related data from the uplink. In addition, the control centre further includes a connection to the 4G infrastructure for obtaining downlinked data. A computer for calculating location of the UAV using navigation data from the downlink.

Abstract: A vehicle door control system includes a door assembly, which includes a side door and a liftgate. The door assembly includes an actuation assembly that adjusts each of the side door and the liftgate between opened and closed positions. A sensor assembly defines a rear sensor field, a first side sensor field, and a second side sensor field. A controller determines whether a person in at least one of the rear sensor field, the first side sensor field, and the second side sensor field is a recognized passenger, determines a speed of the recognized passenger, determines whether the recognized passenger is carrying an object, and activates the actuation assembly to open at least one of the liftgate and the side door based on whether the recognized passenger is carrying an object, where timing of activation of the actuation assembly is based on the speed of the recognized passenger.

Abstract: This document describes techniques for parking and ventilation management systems for vehicle batteries. An example system includes a processor that determines whether a battery of a vehicle requires cooling. In response to a determination that the battery requires cooling, the processor determines where the vehicle is located (e.g., home garage or public location). If the vehicle is parked in the home garage, the processor requests a change in an initial state value of a home component (e.g., garage door) to reduce the ambient temperature of the home garage. If the vehicle is located in a public location, the processor determines a parking space with optimal thermal conditions (e.g., shaded or fewer surrounding vehicles) and autonomously operates the vehicle to the selected parking space. In this way, the described system can manage ambient conditions to improve temperature management of vehicle batteries, thereby improving their reliability and longevity.

Abstract: A system and method for operating a vehicle to mitigate vision obstructions includes collecting data on potential vision obstructions in a sightline of an operator of a vehicle, determining, based on the data, that a vision obstruction has occurred or is about to occur, and actuating a corrective measure in the vehicle. Collected data may include camera data from inside the vehicle and estimated environmental conditions, and the collected data may be used to disable the ADAS based on a detected or impending vision obstruction.

Abstract: A method includes predicting an environmental condition at a location to which a vehicle is travelling, the environmental condition including at least one of water, dust, and pollution, determining that an object within the vehicle is at a distance greater than a threshold distance from an unobstructed window of the vehicle, and then actuating the unobstructed window to a closed position based on the environmental condition and the object being at the distance from the window greater than the threshold distance.
