    摘要: A body temperature detector is particularly suited to axillary temperature measurements of adults. The radiation sensor views a target surface area of the body and electronics compute an internal temperature of the body as a function of ambient temperature and sensed surface temperature. The function includes a weighted difference of surface temperature and ambient temperature, the weighting being varied with target temperature to account for varying perfusion rate. Preferably, the coefficient varies from a normal of about 0.13 through a range to include 0.09. The ambient temperature used in the function is assumed at about 80.degree. F. but modified with detector temperature weighted by 20%.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for measuring a food temperature in a microwave oven makes it possible to precisely measure a temperature of food placed in a microwave oven by providing thereto a simple circuit composition in order to carry out the measurement without regard to kinds of food, cooking, heating device or temperature variation therearound. The apparatus and method realizes a simplified temperature measuring apparatus, thereby facilitating miniaturization thereof and reinforcing price competitiveness, wherein the compensation voltage variation with regard to an ambient temperature variation is adjusted to disclose a linear characteristic, and a new output voltage is generated using a final output voltage and a compensation voltage in a temperature range in which the compensation voltage is non-linearly disclosed in accordance with the variation of the ambient temperature, thereby precisely compensating the ambient temperature which is variable in a wide range thereof.

    摘要: An infrared imaging array of thermoelectric sensors has a plurality of electrically connected microbridge subsensors comprising each sensor of the array. Each subsensor consists of a short span microbridge lying across a relatively small pit. The use of many of such subsensors for each sensor rather than a single large area microbridge sensor for a single pixel allows each pixel to be made large enough to give good sensitivity in either vacuum or gas-filled designs, and at the same time avoid the reduced fabrication yield which results when sensors span large pits.

    摘要: An optical transmitter for converting a thermocouple voltage into an optical pulse train and a low pass input filter are contained in respective spaces in a soft magnetic housing. The input filter is in lead wires from a thermocouple whose hot junction is embedded in the tip of the insulator of a spark plug of an internal combustion engine. The housing itself forms part of or is connected to the H.T. lead to the centre electrode of the spark plug. The housing is surrounded by insulating material which is itself surrounded by an earthed screening casing. The low pass filter is symmetrically constructed, both electrically and mechanically.The filter prevents interference from reaching the circuitry of the optical transmitter and the housing and the casing prevents the generation and transmission of radio interference.

The element is supported above a header by two leads of a microminiature circuit package. The package is mounted on its back on the header. A second pyroelectric element may similarly be supported by two leads of the package.
