    摘要: An electrical DC generation system is disclosed. According to one aspect, a system for electrical DC generation system includes an electrical machine, having a positive output terminal and a negative output terminal, a plurality of stator windings, a plurality of passive rectifiers connected to the plurality of stator windings, the plurality of passive rectifiers being connected in series to form an intermediate bus having a positive terminal and a negative terminal. The system also includes a DC-DC converter circuit having input terminals connected to the positive and negative terminals of the intermediate bus and having output terminals electrically isolated from the input terminals and connected in series with the intermediate bus. The DC-DC converter output voltage is adjusted to regulate torque of the electrical machine by adjusting stator current of the electrical machine.

    摘要: A power flow controller with a fractionally rated back-to-back (BTB) converter is provided. The power flow controller provide dynamic control of both active and reactive power of a power system. The power flow controller inserts a voltage with controllable magnitude and phase between two AC sources at the same frequency; thereby effecting control of active and reactive power flows between the two AC sources. A transformer may be augmented with a fractionally rated bi-directional Back to Back (BTB) converter. The fractionally rated BTB converter comprises a transformer side converter (TSC), a direct-current (DC) link, and a line side converter (LSC). By controlling the switches of the BTB converter, the effective phase angle between the two AC source voltages may be regulated, and the amplitude of the voltage inserted by the power flow controller may be adjusted with respect to the AC source voltages.

    摘要: A power converter arrangement is described. The power converter includes a dc link and a power converter. The dc link is operably connected between a generator, or other power source, that provides an output voltage in use and a dc network. The power converter includes an inverter connected across the dc link in parallel with the generator, an isolation transformer having a primary tap changer and a secondary tap changer, and a rectifier. The rectifier has ac terminals connected to the secondary tap changer, a first dc terminal connected to the dc link, and a second dc terminal connected to the dc network. The dc terminal voltage of the rectifier is therefore summated with the output voltage of the generator to provide a converter output voltage.

One example is directed to a AC/DC converter configured to generate a DC output at a target output voltage. The converter is configured to, responsive to an AC input voltage being less than the target output voltage, convert the AC input voltage to a boosted DC output voltage. The converter is further configured to, responsive to the AC input voltage being greater than the target output voltage, convert a first portion of the AC input voltage to a clamped boosted DC output voltage. The converter is further configured to buffer a second portion of the AC input voltage to a buffered DC voltage. The converter is further configured to apply the buffered DC voltage to the clamped boosted DC output voltage.

    摘要: In an inverter apparatus, an output voltage of an active filter circuit that steps up and smoothes a DC voltage is converted into an AC voltage by an inverter circuit. The active filter circuit includes a capacitor and a rectifier device connected between an input node and an output node. An inductor, one end of which is connected to the input node and the other end of which is connected the output node through the rectifier device, and a switch device connected between the other end and a low-potential-side line, and a first control circuit for the switch device are provided. The inductor stores energy while the switch device is on and releases the energy while the switch device is off. The rectifier device conducts such that the stored energy of the inductor is released.
