摘要: A driving arrangement is provided for driving a load, comprising a driver input for receiving an input power and a driver output to be coupled to the load. A high frequency switch mode PFC converter converts the input power to a PFC converter power and a high frequency switch mode regulator has an output connected in series with the output of the PFC converter. A superimposed power from the PFC converter and the regulator with synchronized high frequency switching is provided to the load. This enables a high frequency ripple to be at least partially cancelled. Wherein the charging phase of the PFC converter at least partially overlaps with the first phase of the regulator in which phase the regulated power increases.

摘要: A converter for electrical connection to a three-phase electrical grid and a single-phase electrical grid is provided. The converter includes three DAB modules, each for converting a respective alternating current of a three-phase electrical grid. When connected to a single-phase electrical grid, the third DAB module is bi-directional such that it is operable to filter the power output of the first and second DAB modules. The converter further includes a filter capacitor in electrical communication with the third DAB module through a relay, wherein the relay is responsive to a controller to couple the third DAB module to the filter capacitor when the single-phase electrical grid is detected and to couple the third DAB module to a grid rectifier when the three-phase electrical grid is detected.

摘要: Some embodiments of the invention include a pre-pulse switching system. The pre-pulsing switching system may include: a power source configured to provide a voltage greater than 100 V; a pre-pulse switch coupled with the power source and configured to provide a pre-pulse having a pulse width of Tpp; and a main switch coupled with the power source and configured to provide a main pulse such that an output pulse comprises a single pulse with negligible ringing. The pre-pulse may be provided to a load by closing the pre-pulse switch while the main switch is open. The main pulse may be provided to the load by closing the main switch after a delay Tdelay after the pre-pulse switch has been opened.

摘要: A dual-path active damper reduces power losses while damping ringing waveforms in resonant circuits. One path clamps the peak value of a node voltage at less than a rated voltage of a protected device while allowing the node voltage to ring and decay naturally. Another path waits for some delay after the peak value is clamped until closing an active switch to draw a reset current through an RC snubber to actively dampen the ringing of the node voltage. The delay and on-time of the active switch are set to reduce or even minimize power losses for damping the ringing waveform within a specified period.

摘要: A control method, a controller, and a control system including a converter and the controller are provided to improve load responsiveness of control by the converter. The converter has a primary circuit that includes a voltage generation circuit for generating a square wave and a resonant circuit for converting a waveform of the generated square wave, and a secondary circuit that is electromagnetically coupled to the primary circuit and that generates an induced electromotive force. The controller controls the voltage generation circuit by a control target power factor. To implement power factor-based control, the controller controls the voltage generation circuit, based on a derived power factor derived from an active power and an apparent power relevant to the resonant circuit in the primary circuit or a derived power factor derived from a phase of the primary circuit.

摘要: A controller chip of a flyback converter, a flyback converter and a switched-mode power supply system are disclosed. In the controller chip, a current scaling module is added, which converts a feedback current signal at a feedback pin of the controller chip to allow compensation capacitor with a small capacitance to be integrated into the chip to constitute a required pole compensation module. In this way, a pole required by the feedback pin FB can be successfully provided in the chip. As a result, filtering of high-frequency noise in a feedback path in which the feedback pin FB is located can be achieved, reducing ripple in an output voltage generated by the flyback converter. Moreover, without changing a sampling gain and the compensation pole, it is allowed to greatly reduce the compensation capacitance, for example, to the order of 10 pF.
