摘要: An analyte indicator may include a porous base and may be included in an analyte sensor. The analyte indicator may retain its physical, chemical, and optical properties in the presence of compression. The porous base may not vary in opacity. The analyte indicator may include (i) a polymer unit attached or polymerized onto or out of the porous base and (ii) an analyte sensing element attached to the polymer unit or copolymerized with the polymer unit. The analyte sensing element may include one or more indicator molecule. The analyte sensing element may include one or more indicator polymer chains. The analyte indicator may include (i) an indicator polymer chain attached or polymerized onto or out of the porous base and (ii) indicator molecules attached to the indicator polymer chain.

摘要: A saturation indication system includes a sorbent body with a film backing being irreversibly bonded to the sorbent body. A universal indicating ink formulation is at least partially coated onto the film backing such that the ink formulation is disposed between the film backing and the sorbent body. The universal indicating ink formulation includes a resin and a dye dispersed in the resin. The dye is configured to indicate a state of saturation of the sorbent body, with the resin and the dye being soluble in a plurality of categories of sorbates consisting of hydrophobic sorbates, hydrophilic sorbates, neutral sorbates, and amphiphilic sorbates.

摘要: A method of detecting and measuring the presence of ammonium fluoride in a buffered oxide etchant (“BOE”) composition is provided. The method comprises contacting a BOE composition with a chromogenic agent selected from bromothymol blue, Eosin-Bluish, indophenol blue, bromocresol green, orthophthaldialdehyde, tetraphenylprophyrin, acridine orange, naphthalene-2,3-dicarboxaldehyde, 2-mercaptoethanol, n-acetylcysteine, luminal, bromocresol purple, or bromophenol blue and at least one of sodium hydroxide, ammonium nitrate, ammonium chloride, tartaric acid, octylphenoxypolyethoxyethanol, Triton X-100, borate buffer, sodium chloride, sodium tetra borate decahydrate, sodium sulfite, and Brij35 to form a treated BOE composition, the treated BOE composition having spectroscopic properties resulting from the contacting that correlate with the amount of ammonium fluoride in the treated BOE composition, performing a spectrometric measurement of the spectroscopic properties of the treated BOE composition, and comparing the spectrometric measurement to pre-determined values to identify the amount of ammonium fluoride in the BOE composition.

摘要: A method for detecting metal ions and chemical/biochemical molecules is provided. The method includes providing a probe, wherein the probe includes: a gold nanocluster; a reducing agent and a chelating agent partially capped on a surface of the gold nanocluster, wherein the probe is formed of reducing gold ions by the reducing agent, and the gold ions and the reducing agent have a molar ratio of 1:0.7 to 1:1.9. The probe may interact with several metal ions of an aqueous solution to produce different changes of fluorescent spectra. Chemical/biochemical molecules can be detected by the fluorescent spectra difference caused by the interaction between the metal ions and the chemical/biochemical molecules.

The water analyzer includes a storage unit storing a calibration curve defining the relationship between the concentration of a chemical component and absorbance, a communication unit receiving the information regarding the chemical component of the water treatment chemical, an irradiation unit irradiating water to be analyzed with light, a detection unit detecting transmitted light, and an arithmetic and control unit calculating absorbance from the result of the detection by the detection unit, acquiring a calibration curve from the storage unit, and calculating the concentration of the chemical component with reference to the acquired calibration curve and the measured absorbance.

摘要: The invention provides a method for measuring the concentration of anionic polymers in an industrial water system. Specifically, the concentration of anionic polymer can be measured by combining an indicator dye composition that includes an acridine compound or a salt thereof to a water sample and measuring the absorbance of the mixture. The concentration can be determined by comparing the absorbance of the mixture to absorbance values on a pre-determined calibration curve. The dosage of anionic polymer can be optionally adjusted based on the concentration.
