Abstract:
Microphone arrays, which are formed by arranging a plurality of microphones, are provided on a front side and a rear side of a housing, respectively. A virtual focus is set for each of the microphone arrays in a direction opposite to a direction in which sound is picked-up sound signals picked up by the plurality of microphones are delayed such that distances to the virtual focus are the same, and the delayed sound signals are synthesized. Therefore, sound in a sound-pickup area of a predetermined angle on each of the front side and the rear side can be picked up at a high level, and even though there is a noise source in areas other than the sound-pickup area, noise from the noise source is not picked up.
Abstract:
A howling canceller applied to an acoustic system having a speaker and a microphone comprises: a filter insertion unit for inserting a notch filter at a frequency of an audio signal picked up by the microphone; a setting unit for setting the insertion time of the notch filter on the basis of the frequency at which the notch filter is inserted; and a releasing unit for, when the insertion time set by the setting unit has elapsed, releasing the notch filter, the insertion time of which has elapsed. The setting unit sets the insertion time of the notch filter to be shorter as the frequency at which the notch filter is inserted increases.
Abstract:
A speaker array and microphone arrays positioned on both sides of the speaker array are provided. A plurality of focal points each serving as a position of a talker are set in front of the microphone arrays respectively symmetrically with respect to a centerline of the speaker array, and a bundle of sound collecting beams is output toward the focal points. Difference values between sound collecting beams directed toward the focal points that are symmetrical with respect to the centerline are calculated to cancel sound components that detour from the speaker array to microphones. Then, it is estimated based on totals of squares of peak values of the difference values for a particular time period that the position of the talker is close to which one of the focal points, and the position of the talker is decided by comparing the totals of the squares of the peak values of the sound collecting beams directed to the focal points that are symmetrical mutually.
Abstract:
Correspondence data representing correspondence between a plurality of selection target objects and the attitude of an input device is stored in an information processing apparatus. In accordance with attitude/motion data acquired from the input device, the attitude of the input device is calculated. In accordance with the correspondence data, a selection target object corresponding to the attitude of the input device is selected thereby to perform a process based on the selection target object having been selected.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a sheath for gastrostoma (1), a sheathed dilator, a gastrostomy catheter kit and a method of splitting a sheath for gastrostoma. The sheath for gastrostoma (1) includes a sheath body (11) in which a gastrostomy catheter (2) is inserted and a handle (12). The sheath for gastrostoma (1) lowers the insertion resistance of a gastrostomy catheter when inserted in a fistula before insertion of the gastrostomy catheter in the fistula for replacement in the patient's body. According to the invention, a sheath for gastrostoma, a sheathed dilator, a sheath for gastrostoma with insertion aid, a gastrostomy catheter kit and a method of splitting a sheath for gastrostoma which can lower the insertion resistance during placement of a catheter in the patient's body, facilitate air supply control of an endoscope and stabilize endoscopic visual field during surgery are provided.
Abstract:
An echo canceller capable of suppressing an echo more effectively than the case of performing filter processing by a signal of a fixed-point format while suppressing an increase in cost is provided. An echo canceller 1 includes a floating-point DSP section 10 and a fixed-point DSP section 20. The floating-point DSP section 10 has an FIR filter processing section 12, an adder 14 and a first conversion section 16. The FIR filter processing section 12 generates a pseudo echo signal of a floating-point format, and the adder 14 subtracts the pseudo echo signal from a sound collection signal and generates a first correction signal. The first conversion section 16 converts a first correction signal into the first correction signal of a fixed-point format and adjusts gain of the first correction signal. The fixed-point DSP section 20 has an FIR filter processing section 21 and an adder 22. The FIR filter processing section 21 generates a pseudo echo signal of a fixed-point format, and the adder 22 subtracts the pseudo echo signal from a first correction signal converted into a fixed-point format and generates an output signal.
Abstract:
In view of a communication system including communication apparatuses transmitting data and a distribution apparatus receiving data from each communication apparatus and distributing, it is provided with the distribution apparatus, the communication system and the communication method that implement reducing amounts of storage means utilized for temporally storing data received by the distribution apparatus from each communication apparatus. While the distribution apparatuses respectively include databases the databases are partitioned into common areas for storing data commonly shared with the distribution apparatuses and synchronized with each other, and non-common areas for storing data basically not transmitted between the ECUs connected to different communication lines. When receiving data from the ECU 4a, the distribution apparatus determines whether the received data should be stored on the common area or on the non-common area.

Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device including a liquid crystal panel provided with plural gate lines to select a pixel and plural data lines to supply pixel data and a data driver dividing a single frame into plural fields and converting frame data into field data to supply the field data to the data line is provided. When the frame data has a tone change, the data driver performs correction to data of an odd-number field of the frame in a same direction as an increase/decrease direction of the tone change of the frame data, and performs correction to data of an even-number field of the frame in an opposite direction to the increase/decrease direction of the tone change of the frame data.
Abstract:
A video conferencing system has a microphone array that operates to receive acoustic signals corresponding to voice activity and to determine that the signals are either from within a sound field of interest and from outside the sound field of interest, and if the signals are from outside the sound field of interest the system attenuates these signals by not steering a microphone array beam towards these signals.
