Abstract:
A maintenance-free and self-lubricant slide bearing comprising a metal support, an intermediate adhesive layer applied directly thereto and a sliding layer based on UHMWPE. The bearing laminate is characterized by a high peel-strength and does not require a surface pre-treatment of the metal support to achieve a strong bonding of the UHMWPE sliding layer to the metal support. The preferred adhesive in the intermediate layer is an anhydride-grafted polyethylene. The invention further includes a process of making the bearing laminate.
Abstract:
A system includes a cap having an opening, and a septum configured to engage with the cap. The septum includes a first portion having a first width, and a second portion having a second width smaller than the first width. The second portion is sized and shaped to be received by the opening of the cap.
Abstract:
A connector and tubing assembly including a multi-lumen molded connector having at least three flexible tubes also molded into the connector. The connector may be nullYnull shaped and include three flexible tubes. A process of making the connector and tubing assembly involves forming a first part of the connector with two tubes molded therein and then removing an internal mold member prior to molding the final connector portion and third tube in place.
Abstract:
A tape for providing thermal contact between an energy generating device and a energy dissipating device is disclosed. The tape comprises a thermally conductive material configured to be adhesively coupled to one of the energy devices, and a tab. The first portion of the thermally conductive material can be separated from the tab by removal of the tab along a weakened interface. The tape may further comprise a sheet such as a sheet of aluminum foil. The weakened interface typically exists between two portions of the sheet or two portions of the thermally conductive material, but could exist anywhere. The weakened interface can be a perforated line. The weakened interface can also be formed along a straight line.
Abstract:
The present disclosure related to a multilayer protective film that may include a structural PET layer, a first removable adhesive layer underlying the structural PET layer, a first peelable adhesive layer overlying the structural PET layer, a first flame retardant PET layer overlying the first peelable adhesive layer, a second peelable adhesive layer overlying the first flame retardant PET layer, and a second flame retardant PET layer overlying the second peelable adhesive layer. The multilayer protective film may have a lateral flame spread of at least about 20 KW/m2, a specific optical density (Ds) of not greater than about 300, and a cumulative specific optical density (VOF4) of not greater than about 600.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a composite article that may include a structural substrate, a multilayer fluoropolymer film that can include a high-melt fluoropolymer layer and a low-melt fluoropolymer adhesion layer that may contact the structural substrate and the fluoropolymer film. The high-melt fluoropolymer layer may have a melting temperature A1 and the low-melt fluoropolymer adhesive layer may have a melting temperature A2. The melting temperature A2 may be less than the melting temperature A1.
