Abstract: The present invention relates to an induced pluripotent stem cell model of Fabry disease, a preparation method thereof, and a use of the same for the study of Fabry disease development and for the screening of a therapeutic agent for the disease. Particularly, Fabry disease derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), embryoid body (EB), and vascular cells were developed and differentiated from fibroblasts originated from Fabry disease patient, wherein the Fabry disease originated iPSCs displayed significantly reduced expression and activity of GLA protein therein, compared with the normal cells, resulting in the accumulation of globotriaosylceramide (Gb3, CD77). Also, the differentiation of vascular cells was induced from the Fabry disease originated iPSCs, and as a result the iPSCs were successfully differentiated into vascular endothelial cells and vascular smooth muscle cells with significantly expressing the marker protein. When the vascular endothelial cells and vascular smooth muscle cells were treated with Fabrazyme, the accumulation of Gb3 was significantly reduced, suggesting that the said cell model can be effectively used for the analysis/study of Fabry disease outbreak mechanism and for the screening of a therapeutic agent for the disease.

Abstract: The present invention relates to novel polypeptide for binding to a complement protein C5a. More particularly, the present invention relates to polypeptide which can be bound to a complement protein C5a and inhibit the activation of same, polynucleotide which codes for the polypeptide, a recombinant vector which comprises the polynucleotide, a recombinant microorganism to which the recombinant vector has been introduced, a method for producing the polypeptide by means of the recombinant microorganism, and a pharmaceutical composition, for treating immune diseases or sepsis, containing the polypeptide. A polypeptide, according to the present invention, can be bound to a complement protein C5a, with higher affinity compared to being bound to a complement protein C5a receptor which is present in nature, and inhibits the activation of same, thus being widely utilized for development of formulation for preventing or treating diseases related to a complement protein C5a.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system for simultaneously measuring a surface normal vector and a surface reflection function in microscale. The system includes a light dome having a hemispherical-shaped structure and including LEDs to radiate light to an object placed therein; a macro lens installed camera arranged over the light dome to photograph the object through a hole formed at a center of the light dome under an environment in which a light is radiated from the light dome; an xyz micro-translation stage arranged under the light dome and configured to move in xyz-directions to adjust a focal distance between the macro lens installed camera and the object, and a measurement unit configured to control the light dome and the macro lens installed camera to obtain a microscale image, and configured to simultaneously measure a surface normal vector and a surface reflection function of the object based on the microscale image.

Abstract: The inventive concepts relate to a member for a gas sensor, a gas sensor using the same and a manufacturing method thereof, and more particularly, to a member for a gas sensor using a one-dimensional metal oxide nanofiber complex material containing hetero nanoparticle catalysts synthesized using apo-ferritins, a gas sensor using the same, and a manufacturing method thereof.According to embodiments of the inventive concepts, apo-ferritins containing hetero nanoparticle catalysts are mixed with an electrospinning solution, the mixture solution is electrospun to form complex nanofibers, and then a high-temperature thermal treatment process is performed to remove the apo-ferritins. Thus, the hetero nanoparticle catalysts are uniformly fastened to an inside and a surface of one-dimensional metal oxide nanofibers to form a member for a gas sensor. As a result, the member for a gas sensor has a high-sensitivity characteristic capable of sensing a very small amount of a gas and excellent selectivity capable of sensing various gases. In addition, a catalyst effect is maximized by the hetero nanoparticle catalysts uniformly distributed without aggregation. Furthermore, the member for a gas sensor and the gas sensor using the same can be mass-produced by a process method capable of effectively forming pores and of fastening high-performance catalysts.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for digital-analog hybrid beamforming in a millimeter wave downlink channel. A hybrid beamforming method in a downlink channel with respect to at least one user terminal belonging to a transmission apparatus includes receiving feedback information from each of the at least one user terminal; selecting at least one user terminal for transmitting a transmission signal based on the received feedback information; performing digital beamforming with respect to the selected at least one user terminal; and performing analog beamforming with respect to the selected at least one user terminal based on a prestored codebook. The codebook includes a desired number of subsets calculated based on a number of transmit antennas and a number of radio frequency (RF) chains, and each of the subsets includes a number of beamforming vectors corresponding to the number of RF chains.
