The coupling surface has at least one further inlet opening, and the at least two rotary disk valves comprise in each case at least two rotary valve openings for the purpose of at least partially opening up the at least two inlet openings.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a semi-rotating valve assembly that may be used in conjunction with an internal combustion engine. The semi-rotating valve of the present invention comprises a valve shaft disposed substantially within a valve housing, wherein the valve shaft is configured to rotate less than 360 degrees with respect to the valve housing to selectively open and close the valve. The reduced rotation of the valve shaft reduces friction, heat and wear. An interlocking sealing mechanism that may be used in conjunction with the semi-rotating valve of the present invention, along with means for cooling the valve, also are disclosed. Further, means for varying an aperture size associated with the valve also are provided, wherein the means for varying is configured to compensate for differences in engine speed to further improve efficiency and reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

摘要: A two-cycle internal combustion engine includes a control valve disposed in a communicating passage for communicating the combustion chamber to a chamber portion adjacent to the combustion chamber. The control valve controls the opening and closing of the communicating passage. A fuel or an air-fuel mixture is supplied into the combustion chamber through the communicating passage. The fuel injection opening of the communicating passage has a height which is smaller than the distance between outermost side surfaces of the piston rings to reduce the amount of the air-fuel mixture or combustion gas leaking from the combustion chamber into the crank chamber through gaps between the piston and the opening. Therefore, reduction in engine output or seizure of the piston due to local temperature rise is avoided.

摘要: A two stroke cycle engine cylinder block (9) has exhaust ports (14) controlled by power valves which rotate on an axis extending longitudinally of the block (9). Along this axis the block (9) has a plurality of aligned recesses in which are located bearing members (24) for the power valves. Bores (25) in each bearing member (24) are axially aligned and the bearing members (24) immobilely retained in the aligned recesses by assembly of the exhaust manifold (16). Spigots on the power valves are received in the bores (25) and coupled together so that the power valves rotate in unison.

摘要: An autoignition two-stroke internal combustion engine utilizes rectangular working chambers and pistons with bar-type seals and rotary sleeve valves which connect the working chambers to exhaust gas turbines for secondary expansion and a supercharger. The supercharger is thermally decoupled from the expansion turbines but the expansion turbines are connected to the supercharger and the crankshaft by a planetary gear transmission which can be cut in or out by a disk-type brake or clutch.

摘要: A two stroke engine having an exhaust port formed in the cylinder wall. At the upper portion of the exhaust port, there is provided a rotary type exhaust timing control valve which is adapted to be actuated by a centrifugal governor device to control the exhaust timing in accordance with the engine speed. The centrifugal governor device has a governor shaft which extends coaxially with the engine crankshaft and directly connected at one end with the adjacent end of the crankshaft. At the other end, the crankshaft is provided with a magneto device so that the magneto does not have any magnetic influence on the centrifugal governor device.
