The plurality of strain sensitive elements is electrically connected to the control circuit via the electrical conductor.

The electronic device (26) includes a first circuit capable of generating a signal representative of a tightening force applied in a tightening direction on one of the two opposing faces; a second circuit capable of generating a signal representative of the distance of the applied force from the center of the ring in a first direction perpendicular to the tightening direction; and a third circuit capable of generating another signal representative of the distance of the applied force from the center of the ring in a second direction perpendicular to the tightening direction.

Abstract: A monitoring module for assembly accuracy between two components includes a first component having an installation surface, and a second component having an opposite surface and disposed in a way that the opposite surface faces towards the installation surface. A preload is continuously applied to at least one of the first and second components to press the opposite surface of the second component on the installation surface of the first component. The installation surface is defined with a reference point. At least two load cell pairs are disposed on the installation surface. Each load cell pair has two load cells located on two sides of the reference point respectively, and the imaginary line connecting the two load cells passes through the reference point. Besides, the load cells are separated from each other without any overlap. The opposite surface is pressed on the at least two load cell pairs.

Abstract: A device includes a channel, a slit, and a cap. The channel is formed on a surface of the device. The slit separates the channel to a first portion and a second portion. The first portion comprises liquid metal, e.g., gallatin. The second portion comprises gas. The liquid metal moves within the channel between the first and the second portions in response to external stimuli, e.g., pressure. The liquid metal moving within the channel changes electrical characteristics, e.g., capacitive value, inductance value, resistance value, resonance frequency, etc., of the device.

Abstract: A force sensor according to the present invention is configured to detect at least one component among components of a force in each axis direction in an XYZ three-dimensional coordinate system and a moment around each axis, and includes: a support body arranged on an XY plane; a deformation body joined to the support body; and a detection circuit that outputs an electric signal indicating a force applied on the deformation body. The deformation body includes a first deformation portion having a first spring constant and a second deformation portion having a second spring constant different from the first spring constant, and the detection circuit outputs, in response to an applied force, a first electric signal corresponding to the deformation of the first deformation portion and a second electric signal corresponding to the deformation of the second deformation portion and determines whether the force sensor functions normally based on a change of a ratio between the first electric signal and the second electric signal, both corresponding to the applied force.
