    摘要: Contrast agent for X-ray imaging, consisting of a halogenated, especially iodinated or brominated, derivative of boron, having characteristics necessary for its use in X-ray imaging. The contrast agent may be used for imaging a corporeal situs by radiological techniques, comprising delivery to the corporeal situs of an imagingly effectively amount of a physiologically acceptable composition comprising the boron reagent. A variety of illustrative boron reagents is described, including vectorised boron derivatives, e.g., boron derivatives encapsulated within liposomes, fixed on or bonded to macromolecules or polymers, etc. The contrast agents, formulations, and method of the present invention may be employed for a wide variety of radiological imaging applications, e.g., excretory urography, angiocardiography, aortography, etc.

    摘要: The oxidation resistance of a cyclophosphazene-based fluid (such as a lubricant or a hydraulic fluid) can be improved by the addition to the fluid of an oxidation-inhibiting amount of an aryl phosphine or phosphine oxide. The aryl phosphine or phosphine oxide is preferably present in an amount of about 0.01 to about 5 percent by weight. The aryl phosphine or phosphine oxide can be (a) a symmetric triarylphosphine of formula R.sub.3 P, wherein R is 4-trifluoromethyl phenyl, 3-trifluoromethyl phenyl, 3-trifluoromethoxy phenyl, 3-(3-trifluoromethylphenoxy) phenyl, 3-(perfluoro-2, 5-dimethyl-3, 6-dioxanonyl) phenyl or 1-naphthyl; (b) an oxide of any of these symmetric triarylphosphines; or (c) 1, 3-bis(diphenylphosphino) benzene. The cyclophosphazene fluid component is preferably a (fluorinated phenoxy) (3-perfluoroalkylphenoxy)-cyclic phosphazene of the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein n is 3 to 7, inclusive; wherein R is individually in each occurrence fluorinated phenoxy or 3-perfluoroalkylphenoxy; and wherein the ratio of fluorinated phenoxy to 3-perfluoroalkylphenoxy is about 1:5 to 1:1 inclusive. Although useful as antioxidants in other fluids such as polyphenyl ethers, perfluorinated aliphatic polyethers and polyol esters, the antioxidant activity of the defined aryl phosphines and phosphine oxides in cyclophosphazene fluids is unexpected because of the significant difference in the pathways of oxidative degradation between the cyclophosphazenes and these other fluids.

    摘要: A process for preparing a phosphonitrile compound having a substituted hydroxyl group by making use of a phosphonitrile chloride oligomer and an alcohol as the starting materials, which comprises:(1) a first step of reacting said phosphonitrile chloride oligomer with said alcohol in a specific amount ratio of the active chlorine contained in said phosphonitrile chloride oligomer relative to the alcohol in the presence of a specific amount of a tertiary amine at a specific temperature, thereby substituting a specific amount of said active chlorine by a substituted alkoxy group,(2) a second step of elevating the temperature of the reaction mixture obtained in the first step to a specific temperature to cause a condensation reaction through the elimination of R--Cl, and(3) a third step of adding an alcohol in a specific amount ratio relative to said active chlorine which remains at the stage of completion of the second step, to the reaction system, and making said remaining active chlorine react with said alcohol while supplying ammonia in a specific amount ratio or more relative to the amount of said active chlorine which has been originally contained in said phosphonitrile chloride oligomer into the reaction system, thereby substantially completely and substituting said remaining active chlorine by a substituted hydroxyl group.
