Abstract:
The invention relates to a drive unit for a tracked vehicle such as a tracked forwarder. The drive unit comprises a track support beam, at least one drive wheel, a set of support wheels and an endless track, said at least one drive wheel being arranged to drive said endless track running over said at least one drive wheel and said set of support wheels. The drive wheel and the support wheels are rotatably attached in said track support beam. The drive unit further comprises an electric motor attached to said at least one drive wheel and integrated in said track support beam, and a track support beam integrated lubrication system comprising a pump unit arranged for pressurized supply of lubricant to parts of the drive unit in need of lubrication.
Abstract:
A connect-disconnect assembly for a vehicle drivetrain configured to drive a vehicle with a surface engaging traction member. The connect-disconnect assembly includes a coupler located within a final drive element or gear of a final drive assembly wherein in a first position the coupler does not span a gap between the gear and a transmission drive element of a transmission. In a second position, the coupler does span the gap between the gear and the transmission drive element such that the gear and the transmission drive element are connected. The final drive assembly includes an access port to provide access to a user accessible drive actuator to move the coupler between the first and second positions.
Abstract:
A tractor includes a frame including an axle, the axle including an axle shaft and a beam member. A cab is mounted to the frame, the cab including controls for controlling the tractor. A ground-engaging mechanism coupled to the axle, the second ground-engaging mechanism including a track assembly. The track assembly includes an undercarriage assembly, a carrier housing, a ring gear, and a track, where the carrier housing includes a pivot arm for pivoting coupling to the undercarriage assembly. The ring gear defines an outer diameter, and the axle shaft and beam member are adjustably coupled to the carrier housing at a location inside the outer diameter.
Abstract:
The track system has four track assemblies each mounted to a corresponding driving axle of a vehicle to receive driving power therefrom, each track assembly having: a plurality of transversally-oriented track roller shafts mounted to a frame structure, parallel to one another and interspaced from one another from including two end roller shafts each at a corresponding opposite longitudinal end; an endless track belt having an outer surface and an inner surface, the endless track belt being longitudinally oriented and wrapping the track roller shafts; an anti-diving flap having a flat body protruding upwardly and longitudinally from one longitudinal end of the endless track belt, the anti-diving flap having two structural arms, each structural arm extending around the endless track belt on a respective transversal side thereof and being secured to the frame structure.
Abstract:
A drive sprocket for driving a track of a tracked vehicle is provided. The drive sprocket includes an interior ring, an exterior ring, and an intermediate ring situated between the interior ring and the exterior ring. The interior ring, exterior ring, and intermediate ring are oriented in a substantially spaced-apart manner, each of the rings have an outer peripheral surface. A plurality of rods is attached to the rings adjacent to the outer peripheral surface thereof. The interior, exterior, and intermediate rings have a substantially “U” or “J” shape.
Abstract:
Combination of a drive wheel and a gearbox for a continuous track system, the gearbox (1) comprising an annular input member (2) for connection to an end part (14) of a drive axle input member (16) and an annular output member (4) connected to the drive wheel (3), the annular input member (2) and annular output member (4) being coaxially arranged with respect to a longitudinal axis (6) of the gearbox (1). The combination further comprises an annular transmission unit (8) coaxially arranged with respect to the longitudinal axis (6) of the gearbox (1) and connecting the annular input member (2) and annular output member (4) through a gear ratio (R) of less than one, the gear ratio (R) being a ratio of an angular input velocity of the annular input member (2) to an angular output velocity of the annular output member (4).
Abstract:
A crawler shoe is disclosed for use with a mobile machine having a track assembly with a sprocket. The crawler shoe may have a ground engaging surface, and laterally spaced-apart links connected at a side opposite the ground engaging surface. The laterally spaced-apart links may each have an arcuate wear surface configured to provide hub support against bearing forces of the sprocket, and at least one bore configured to receive a pin that transfers tractive forces from the sprocket to the plate.
Abstract:
A sprocket wheel and drive track assembly of a tracked vehicle includes at least one drive sprocket having a sprocket wheel. A plurality of internal teeth extending laterally therefrom is distributed in a circumferential direction on a periphery thereof at a sprocket pitch from each other. A belt in contact with the at least one drive sprocket has an inner side, an outer side, a longitudinal and a lateral direction. At least two of a plurality of internal lugs distributed on the inner side thereof are engaged by at least two of the plurality of internal teeth of the at least one drive sprocket. The plurality of internal lugs is disposed to form at least one longitudinal row. At least two consecutive internal lugs are disposed at a first pitch from each other. The first pitch is longer than an arc length corresponding to the sprocket pitch.
Abstract:
An elastomeric track assembly and track band having damping features is disclosed. The track comprises several surfaces disposed as to dampen the force of impact. The track is configured to have a ground contacting surface and portion not in contact with the ground. The idler and road wheels where applicable are disposed above a portion of the track that is not primarily in contact with the ground surface in order to prevent alignment between the wheel and the point of impact with the ground surface.
