Abstract:
A track pin may comprise a body that includes a generally cylindrical configuration defining an axis of rotation, a circumferential direction and a radial direction, the body defining a first end, a second end and a peripheral surface extending from the first end to the second end. The peripheral surface may include a first lobed portion spaced axially away from the first end and the second end and including a series of convex arcuate segments and concave arcuate segments joined to each other tangentially, forming an undulating surface.
Abstract:
A track assembly for a machine comprising track pads with a ground engaging surface opposite link engaging surfaces and a lug protruding between the link engaging surfaces. The track assembly includes pairs of links disposed on the link engaging surfaces of the track pads. The pairs of links include an outer link having an outer bushing end and an outer pin end, and an inner link spaced-apart from the outer link. The inner link has an inner bushing end and an inner pin end. A distance between the inner bushing ends and the outer bushing ends is less than a distance between the inner pin ends and the respective outer pin ends. The track assembly includes pins connecting the bushing ends of pairs of links to the pin ends of adjacent pairs of links forming endless chains. The endless chains connect adjacent track pads in an endless loop.
Abstract:
A track assembly is disclosed for use with a mobile machine. The track assembly may have a plurality of crawler shoes. Each of the plurality of crawler shoes may include a ground engaging surface and first and second pairs of links laterally spaced apart on a side opposite the ground engaging surface. The track assembly may also have a first pin connecting the first pair of links of each of the plurality of crawler shoes to form a first continuous chain, and a second pin connecting the second pair of links of each of the plurality of crawler shoes to form a second continuous chain. The track assembly may further have a drive wheel having dual sprockets configured to simultaneously engage the first and second continuous chains.
Abstract:
An undercarriage assembly includes a link assembly, including a plurality of laterally spaced pairs of track links pivotally connected to one another at pivot joints to form an endless chain, each laterally spaced pair of track links including a first track link and a second track link with a space between the first track link and the second track link. The undercarriage assembly may also include a first carrier skid projecting upward into the space between the first track link and the second track link of at least one of the laterally spaced pairs of track links.
Abstract:
A track link has a link body. The link body of the track link may include a first substantially planar side surface, a second substantially planar side surface opposite the first substantially planar side surface, a shoe face extending between the first and second substantially planar side surfaces, and a roller rail extending between the first and second substantially planar side surfaces opposite the shoe face.
Abstract:
An idler for a machine undercarriage includes a hub. The idler may also include a body extending radially outward from the hub. The body may include a first disk extending radially outward from the hub. The body may also include a second disk extending radially outward from the hub and spaced laterally from the first disk. Radially outer portions of the first and second disks may form a split tread surface without depressed tread shoulders.
Abstract:
An improved track shoe assembly for a continuous track vehicle. The track shoe assembly comprises a pin which is rotatable relative to a shoe of the track shoe assembly. The track shoe assembly comprises an elastomeric tube through which the pin extends, the elastomeric tube being rotatable with respect to one of the pin and the shoe and being fixed with respect to the other of the pin and the shoe.
Abstract:
Track shoe assembly for a tracked vehicle, comprising a) a track shoe member with a chassis assembly having a pair of tubular housings (80) connected by a spaced web-portion, b) a replaceable rubber pad (9) with a curved sheet metal (13) having rims to hold the rubber pad rigidly and precisely in position, and c) an end connector (26) having a pair of bush holes (267) which accept an end of a track shoe pin (60) extending through a tubular housing, thus connecting adjacent track shoe members at either side in a pivotally flexible track. The chassis (9) also has a guide member (91) which is located on one a sleeve holding a housing and has a shape tapering towards its top end.
Abstract:
A crawler having a crawler pin and a crawler bush having lubrication between the crawler pin and the crawler bush without lowering the strength of the crawler at the running time, thereby to prevent the creak or seizure, as might otherwise be caused at the running time. A metallic sliding member having an excellent wear resistance can be arranged in the clearance between the crawler bush and the crawler pin. The metallic sliding member can be capable of holding lubricating oil and/or a lubricant. In addition, the clearance between the core bush and the crawler pin can be narrowed, so that the resulting structure retains the imbalance load on both the crawler bush and the crawler pin.
Abstract:
A track link assembly consists of two parallel arranged chains of links connected end to end, the links of each chain being connected by a joint including a link pin press fit in the bore of the outboard end collar. In order to limit the movement of the collar on the link pin and prevent excessive end play at the seal, a snap ring is fitted on a portion of each end of the link pin which extends outward from the bore of the outboard end collar. One or more protrusions on the outer surface of the boss protect the snap ring from being knocked off during use.
