摘要: A self diagnostic loudspeaker load impedance testing system, or Push Here Diagnostic (PHD) system, located within a mixer/amplifier for testing loudspeaker connections to the mixer amplifier during installation and maintenance. The system includes a test signal source that replaces the normal audio input to the amplifier during test. A PHD analyzer within the mixer amplifier analyzes the response of the loudspeakers and related wiring to the test signal to detect a total system impedance that exceeds the amplifier rating and to detect short circuits in the wiring. The PHD analyzer illuminates an indicator when a fault occurs. The test is initiated by depressing a momentary contact switch within the mixer amplifier housing by inserting a tool through an opening in the mixer amplifier housing.

摘要: A system includes a first device having a microphone associated with a voice user interface (VUI) and a first network interface, a first processor connected to the first network interface and controlling the first device, a second device having a speaker and a second network interface, and a second processor connected to the second network interface and controlling the second device. Upon connection of the second network interface to a network to which the first network interface is connected, the second processor causes the second device to output an identifiable sound through the speaker. Upon detecting the identifiable sound via the microphone, the first processor adds information identifying the second device to a data store of devices to be controlled when the first device activates the VUI.

摘要: Mobile devices may capture audio signals indicative of test audio received by an audio capture device of the mobile device; and send the captured audio and the zone designation to a sound processor to determine equalization settings for speakers of the zone of the venue. An audio filtering device may receive the captured audio signals from the mobile devices; compare each of the captured audio signals with the test signal to determine an associated reliability of each of the captured audio signals; combine the captured audio signals into zone audio data; and transmit the zone audio data and associated reliability to a sound processor configured to determine equalization settings for the zone based on the captured audio signals and the test signal.

摘要: Examples described herein involve detecting known impairments or other known conditions using a neural network. An example implementation involves receiving data indicating a response of a playback device as captured by a microphone. The implementation also involves determining an input vector by projecting a response vector that represents the response of the playback device onto a principle component matrix representing variance caused by one or more known impairments. The implementation further involves providing the determined input vector to a neural network that includes an output layer comprising neurons that correspond to respective known impairments. The implementation involves detecting that the input vector caused one or more neurons of the neural network to fire such that the neural network indicates that a particular known impairment is affecting the microphone and/or the playback device and adjusting operation of the playback device and/or the microphone to offset the particular known impairment.

A position the moving component may be determined based on the acceleration. The position of the moving component may be compared with a reference to output a measure of distortion associated with the transducer. Nonlinearities in audio output by the transducer may be corrected based on the measure of distortion.

摘要: Examples described herein involve validating motion of a microphone during calibration of a playback device. An example implementation involves a control device receiving an indication that the control device will begin detecting audio signals emitted from playback devices as part of a calibration process. While the control device is detecting audio signals emitted from the playback devices, the control device receives a stream of motion data indicating movement of the control device. The control device processes a first subset of the stream of motion data to determine that the first subset of the stream of motion data indicates sufficient horizontal translation of the control device occurred. Based on determining that the first subset of the stream of motion data indicates sufficient horizontal translation of the control device, the control device processes a second subset of the stream of motion data.

摘要: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for testing and certification of media devices for use within a connected media environment. A testing device includes an input mechanism, for example a microphone, and a plurality of test files. Each test file can be used to produce a characteristic signal, for example an audio track having a particular frequency. The testing device emulates a gateway between a media device under test, such as an audio speaker, and a media server. Test scripts can be used to mimic commands to play or otherwise access media content at the device under test. Playback of a particular test file can be detected and recognized according to the characteristic signal produced by that test file. Resultant test information can be used to evaluate the performance and/or certify operation of the media device within the connected media environment.

摘要: Example techniques involve determining a direction of an NMD. An example implementation includes causing two audio drivers to output audio content, where the audio drivers are positioned at a known distance apart in a given azimuthal plane and recording the audio content output by the two audio drivers. The implementation also includes causing a processing device to identify a direction of the NMD relative to a center point of the two audio drivers in the given azimuthal plane. Identifying the direction of the NMD may involve determining a range of possible azimuthal angles between the NMD and the center point, the range of possible angles dependent upon the known distance between the two audio drivers and a phase offset between the two audio drivers indicated by the recorded audio content output. The implementation further includes causing a playback device to adjust calibration based on the identified direction of the NMD.

摘要: This disclosure describes a conferencing apparatus with an automatically adapting beamforming microphone array for teleconferencing applications. The conferencing apparatus includes a processor coupled to memory, storage, and a housing. The apparatus further includes a communication element, a plurality of microphones arranged in the housing and configured as a beamforming microphone array, and an orientation sensor. Additionally, the apparatus includes executing a series of steps including: (a) adapting a signal-processing characteristic of the beamforming microphone array responsive to the orientation signal, (b) beamforming to combine the plurality of microphone signals to a plurality of combined signals, (c) performing an acoustic echo cancellation operation on the plurality of combined signals to generate a plurality of combined echo-canceled signals, and (d) selecting one or more of the plurality of combined echo-canceled signals for transmission.

摘要: The present disclosure discloses a conferencing apparatus that combines a beamforming microphone array (BMA) with an acoustic echo canceller where the BMA further comprises a plurality of microphones that are oriented to develop a corresponding plurality of microphone signals. The apparatus further includes a processor, memory, and storage where the processor is configured to execute program instructions. The processor performs a beamforming operation to create a plurality of combined signals. In addition, the processor performs an acoustic echo cancellation operation to generate a plurality of combined echo cancelled signals. Further, the processor selects one of the combined echo cancelled signals for transmission to the far end where the signal selection module uses the far end signal as information to inhibit the signal selection module from changing the selection of the combined echo cancelled signals while only the far end signal is active.
