    摘要: A self diagnostic loudspeaker load impedance testing system, or Push Here Diagnostic (PHD) system, located within a mixer/amplifier for testing loudspeaker connections to the mixer amplifier during installation and maintenance. The system includes a test signal source that replaces the normal audio input to the amplifier during test. A PHD analyzer within the mixer amplifier analyzes the response of the loudspeakers and related wiring to the test signal to detect a total system impedance that exceeds the amplifier rating and to detect short circuits in the wiring. The PHD analyzer illuminates an indicator when a fault occurs. The test is initiated by depressing a momentary contact switch within the mixer amplifier housing by inserting a tool through an opening in the mixer amplifier housing.

    摘要: Mobile devices may capture audio signals indicative of test audio received by an audio capture device of the mobile device; and send the captured audio and the zone designation to a sound processor to determine equalization settings for speakers of the zone of the venue. An audio filtering device may receive the captured audio signals from the mobile devices; compare each of the captured audio signals with the test signal to determine an associated reliability of each of the captured audio signals; combine the captured audio signals into zone audio data; and transmit the zone audio data and associated reliability to a sound processor configured to determine equalization settings for the zone based on the captured audio signals and the test signal.

An example implementation involves receiving data indicating a response of a playback device as captured by a microphone. The implementation also involves determining an input vector by projecting a response vector that represents the response of the playback device onto a principle component matrix representing variance caused by one or more known impairments. The implementation further involves providing the determined input vector to a neural network that includes an output layer comprising neurons that correspond to respective known impairments. The implementation involves detecting that the input vector caused one or more neurons of the neural network to fire such that the neural network indicates that a particular known impairment is affecting the microphone and/or the playback device and adjusting operation of the playback device and/or the microphone to offset the particular known impairment.

    摘要: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for testing and certification of media devices for use within a connected media environment. A testing device includes an input mechanism, for example a microphone, and a plurality of test files. Each test file can be used to produce a characteristic signal, for example an audio track having a particular frequency. The testing device emulates a gateway between a media device under test, such as an audio speaker, and a media server. Test scripts can be used to mimic commands to play or otherwise access media content at the device under test. Playback of a particular test file can be detected and recognized according to the characteristic signal produced by that test file. Resultant test information can be used to evaluate the performance and/or certify operation of the media device within the connected media environment.

    摘要: Example techniques involve determining a direction of an NMD. An example implementation includes causing two audio drivers to output audio content, where the audio drivers are positioned at a known distance apart in a given azimuthal plane and recording the audio content output by the two audio drivers. The implementation also includes causing a processing device to identify a direction of the NMD relative to a center point of the two audio drivers in the given azimuthal plane. Identifying the direction of the NMD may involve determining a range of possible azimuthal angles between the NMD and the center point, the range of possible angles dependent upon the known distance between the two audio drivers and a phase offset between the two audio drivers indicated by the recorded audio content output. The implementation further includes causing a playback device to adjust calibration based on the identified direction of the NMD.
