摘要: According to an example, an apparatus may include a recoater, an energy source, a carriage supporting the energy source, and a controller. The controller may control the recoater to spread build material particles into a layer on top of a previously applied layer containing fused build material particles and the carriage to move ahead of the recoater to cause the energy source to apply energy onto build material particles in the previously applied layer prior to the recoater spreading the build material particles onto the previously applied layer. The energy source is to heat the fused build material particles to or maintain the fused build material particles at a temperature above a certain temperature and the recoater is to be controlled to spread the build material particles on top of the previously applied layer prior to the fused build material particles falling below the certain temperature.

摘要: A system and a method for creating prosthetics using a prosthetic machine are disclosed. The method includes creating a three dimensional (3D) shape of a prosthetic using a software. Successively, the 3D shape is sent for printing based at least on an availability of a printer. The printing is achieved by taking the 3D shape and slicing into very thin horizontal slices and thereafter placing a slice upon a slice for the 3D shape. Further, granular polycarbonate material is placed in a cartridge at the top of a compression head. Further, granules are fed through a four stage heating and compression process. Further, a heated plastic is pressurized and forced through an extruder to extrude in a 1 mm×4 mm ribbon. Thereafter, a printed object is formed on a base plate through motion that is controlled by a plurality of linear axes and a rotary axis.

摘要: The invention provides a fused deposition modeling 3D printer (500), comprising (i) a printer head (501), (ii) a 3D printable material providing device (575), (iii) an actuator (610) for moving one or more of (a) the printer head (501) and (b) a receiver item (550), (iv) an optical sensor (620), and (v) n optical elements (630), wherein n≥1; wherein: - in an operational mode of the fused deposition modeling 3D printer (500) the optical sensor (620) senses one or more of (i) reflection of radiation (11) at 3D printed material (202) on the receiver item (550), (ii) reflection of radiation (11) at at least one of the n optical elements (630), and (iii) transmission of radiation (11) through at least one of the n optical elements (630), thereby sensing at least part of a space between the receiver item (550) and the printer head (501); - during the operational mode at least one of the group of optical elements (630) and the optical sensor (610) are configured at equal heights or higher than a printer nozzle (502) functionally coupled to the printer head (501).

摘要: A method of manufacturing a three-dimensional object from a powder to form each layer of the object. The method includes the steps of driving a powder distribution sled in a first direction to distribute a layer of powder; driving a print sled in the first direction; driving the print sled and the powder distribution sled in a second direction; preheating the layer of powder by activating multiple radiation sources during various ones of the driving steps; during some of the driving steps, depositing a pattern of fluid onto the layer of powder; and sintering the powder on which fluid was deposited only in the second direction, by activating the at least one radiation source assembly during various ones of the driving steps in that direction. Repeating the above steps to distribute the next layer of powder.

摘要: A three-dimensional (3D) printer includes a base plate and a nozzle connectable to a source of molten material and operable to eject the molten material onto the base plate that are movable in orthogonal directions to form a 3D object on the base plate. An error detection system detects a dislocation of the 3D object on the base plate during the 3D printing operation, which can lead to stopping the 3D printing process. The error detection system includes a beam emitter and a detector that work in conjunction with a tag formed on the 3D object to determine whether the object has dislocated.
