摘要: A cerebrospinal-fluid-pressure-measuring device including a pressure gauge including a hollow cylindrical body for inserting through a skull and having a lower and upper end, and an inner surface, a membrane attached to the lower end and to move under a pressure of cerebrospinal fluid within the skull, and coils including a stationary coil disposed in the cylindrical body and connected to the inner surface so as to remain stationary, and a moving coil disposed in the cylindrical body and connected to the membrane so that the moving coil moves when the membrane moves under the pressure, one of the coils being configured as a transmitting coil and another of the coils being configured as a receiving coil, and a control unit to apply an input signal to the transmitting coil and receive an output signal from the receiving coil, and to generate an indication of the pressure.

摘要: Medical apparatus includes a probe with a basket assembly at its distal end, including a plurality of resilient spines with multiple electrodes arrayed along a length of each of the spines. Processing circuitry is configured to acquire a first bipolar electrical signal from the tissue between first and second electrodes at first and second locations along a first spine of the basket assembly, and to acquire a second bipolar electrical signal from the tissue between the first electrode and a third electrode in a third location on a second spine of the basket assembly, and to interpolate, based on the first and second bipolar electrical signals, a vectorial electrical property of the tissue along an axis that passes through the first location and between the second and third locations.

摘要: In one embodiment, a catheter alignment system includes a catheter to be inserted into a body part, and including catheter electrodes to contact tissue at respective locations within the body part, a display, and processing circuitry to receive signals provided by the catheter, assess respective levels of contact of ones of the catheter electrodes with the tissue of the body part responsively to the received signals, find a direction in which the catheter should be moved to improve at least one of the respective levels of contact of at least one of the catheter electrodes responsively to the respective levels of contact of the ones of the catheter electrodes, and render to the display a representation of the catheter responsively to the received signals, and a direction indicator indicating the direction in which the catheter should be moved responsively to the found direction.

摘要: An apparatus includes a body, a catheter, and a deflection assembly. The catheter includes a proximal segment defining a first longitudinal axis, a medial segment defining a second longitudinal axis, and a distal segment. The deflection assembly is configured to deflect the medial segment away from the first longitudinal axis and to deflect the distal segment away from the second longitudinal axis. The deflection assembly includes first and second input members associated with the body. The deflection assembly also includes a first translating assembly coupled to the medial segment. The first input member is configured to drive the first translating assembly to deflect the medial segment away from the first longitudinal axis. The deflection assembly further includes a second translating assembly coupled to the distal segment. The second input member is configured to drive the second translating assembly to deflect the distal segment away from the second longitudinal axis.
