In response, the vehicle may receive an invitation message that includes a group identifier, group course information, and wireless resource information for joining a vehicle group. The vehicle may then transmit a joining request message, including the first group identifier.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) switch between carriers of a group of a carriers during uplink communications in accordance with a mapping. For example, the UE may report its capability to a base station for switching between carriers of the group, where the group includes a supplementary uplink (SUL) carrier and two or more normal uplink (NUL) carriers that are each associated with a different radio frequency band. The base station may indicate for the UE to switch to a subset of carriers of the group corresponding to a combination of radio frequency bands for transmission of an uplink message. The UE may switch to at least one carrier of the subset of carriers in accordance with a mapping that is based on the reported capability and may transmit the uplink message on the at least one carrier.

In one aspect, a UE establishes a connection with at least one network entity and a non-network connection entity. Abstract: Aspects are provided which improve RLM by allowing a UE to apply a longer monitoring window for out-of-sync determinations before the UE triggers an RLM timer for in-sync determinations. The UE first obtains a reference signal from a base station. The UE then determines multiple groups of consecutive out-of-sync indications in response to the reference signal. For example, the UE may perform looped out-of-sync monitoring, multi-cell or carrier monitoring, or a combination of such monitoring to determine the multiple groups of out-of-sync indications. Afterwards, the UE triggers the RLM timer in response to determining the multiple groups of consecutive out-of-sync indications. As a result, the UE may perform additional out-of-sync monitoring during RLM before proceeding with in-sync monitoring, thus allowing the UE to account for rapid BLER changes (ping-pong effects) that may occur in HAPS systems due to tropospheric turbulence and enabling more accurate RLM determinations and minimal RLF detections.

In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may support two or more uplink switching periods for transmit chain switching. The UE may transmit a UE capability message indicating the UE capability to support a first uplink switching period and a second uplink switching period for transmit chain switching. The first uplink switching period and the second uplink switching period may each correspond to different switching periods associated with configuration switches between different transmit chain configurations of the UE. The UE and a base station may select an uplink switching period from among the first uplink switching period and the second uplink switching period. The UE may transmit an uplink data message to the base station after a preparation time that is based on the uplink switching period.

Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for achieving multi-cell synchronization for dual connectivity and carrier aggregation are described. In one technique, a timing difference between a first base station (BS) and a second BS is determined, where the first BS is in an asynchronous timing configuration with respect to the second BS. A measurement configuration for measuring signal(s) from the second BS is determined, based on the timing difference. The measurement configuration is signaled to a user equipment (UE) served by the first BS. The UE performs a measurement procedure for the signal(s) in accordance with the measurement configuration. In another technique, the second BS receives a synchronization request, which includes a first time stamp, from the first BS via a network interface between the first BS and the second BS. The second BS sends a synchronization response, which includes a second time stamp, to the first BS.
