    Abstract: A first wireless device may select a first beam for communication with a second wireless device from a first set of beams associated with a first beam level. A second set of beams may be associated with a second beam level. The first beam may be associated with a first children list. The first children list may be associated with a first subset of beams of the second set of beams. Each beam in the first subset of beams may have an envelope area that intersects an envelope area of the first beam. The first wireless device may select a second beam for communication with the second wireless device from the first subset of beams based on an envelope area of the second beam intersecting the envelope area of the first beam. The first wireless device may communicate with the second wireless device.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may allocate, from an energy of the UE, a first amount of energy to a first communication link and a second amount of energy to a second communication link. The UE may identify a first energy request associated with the first communication link of the UE and a second energy request associated with the second communication link of the UE. The UE may allocate, from a remainder of the energy after the first amount of energy and the second amount of energy are allocated, a third amount of energy to the first communication link and a fourth amount of energy to the second communication link.     Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to monitoring and/or measuring synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) in one or more beam directions based on timing offsets associated with the beam directions are provided. In some aspects, a method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes: receiving, from a wireless communication device, a synchronization signal block (SSB); and measuring, based on timing offsets for each of a plurality of beams of the SSB, one or multiple beams of the SSB. In some instances, the UE determines a number of beams of the SSB to measure based on the timing offsets for each of the plurality of beams of the SSB.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for adapting search, measurement, and loop tracking periodicities in new radio communications. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes determining, based on one or more parameters, a first periodicity to perform a search to detect one or more component carriers (CCs), cells, beams, or a combination thereof; a second periodicity to perform measurement of one or more cells, beams, or both in one more detected CCs; and a third periodicity to perform loop tracking to monitor a downlink serving quality, an uplink serving beam quality, or both of a cell. The method may further includes performing the search at the determined first periodicity, measurement at the determined second periodicity, and loop tracking at the determined third periodicity.
