Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for optimizing user equipment (UE) oriented link adaptation. One method may include receiving a configuration of a predefined transmission power for one or more cases. The method may also include calculating a required transmission power based on at least a specific pathloss of the one or more cases. In addition, the method may include, selecting, based on the calculation of the required transmission power, a modulation coding scheme level that does not exceed the predefined transmission power for a radio transmission. Further, the method may include performing the radio transmission based on the selected modulation coding scheme level and the calculated required transmission power.

Abstract: A method may include receiving, from a network node, association and configuration information for a plurality of sequences, where each sequence may be associated to at least one network-node beam or beam-pair link. The method may also include performing beam measurements of beams from the network node to obtain beam measurement information. The method may further include detecting beam misalignment of the beam based on the beam measurement information. In addition, the method may include transmitting a sequence among the plurality of sequences to the network node to inform the network node of the beam misalignment, and to trigger the network node to start a beam adjustment procedure and a monitoring procedure for a configured-grant configuration. Further, the method may include, after transmitting the sequence, considering the indicated preferred beam as a new serving beam, and switching to the configured-grant configuration associated with this new serving beam.

Abstract: A method may include transmitting, by a user equipment, a data packet to a network entity. The method may further include starting, by the user equipment, a timer with a first value associated with the transmission to the network entity. The method may further include determining, by the user equipment, that no feedback for the transmission has been received within the associated timer, or a negative acknowledgement has been received without the corresponding resource allocation for re-transmission. The method may further include in response to receiving no feedback associated with the transmission within the associated timer, or receiving a negative acknowledgement without the corresponding resource allocation for re-transmission, re-transmitting, by the user equipment, the data packet to the network entity.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for synchronization between in-coverage and out-of coverage user devices. A base station configures in-coverage and out-of coverage synchronization signals and configures user devices to recognize synchronization signals as in-coverage or out-of-coverage. An in-coverage device furnishes an in-coverage synchronization signal upon detection of an out-of coverage signal, and may continue to furnish the signal upon continued detection of an out-of-coverage signal that is not synchronized to the network. Initially, the terminal device monitors physical downlink control channel, PDCCH, transmissions according to a first set of rules. The terminal device receives, using a first CORESET with a first active TCI state from an access node, an indication for limiting monitoring and consequently limits monitoring of PDCCH transmissions associated with CORESETs having a TCI state other than the first active TCI state for a period of time.
