Abstract: An apparatus may include a processor and computer program code, and may be configured to cause the apparatus to allocate a radio transceiver for a communication of a first SIM and a second SIM for alternative active periods, wherein the first SIM is configured to at least monitor paging messages during its active periods and the second SIM is configured to perform beam management operations during its active periods; monitor a number of scheduled beam management operations of the second SIM skipped during the active periods of the radio transceiver allocated for the first SIM; determine, based on at least data from the performed beam management operations, a threshold value for the skipped beam management operations; and adjust, in response to the number of the skipped beam management operations reaching the threshold value, allocation of the active periods of the radio transceiver between the first SIM and the second SIM.

Abstract: There are provided measures for handling of paging messages in communication endpoint to network relaying scenarios. Such measures exemplarily comprise, at a relay terminal connected to a mobile access entity of a cellular network systems, selecting, for a terminal to be relayed, a sidelink communication group of a set of configured sidelink communication groups, monitoring network-served paging indicator resources corresponding to said terminal to be relayed for a network-served paging related identifier indicative of transmission of a network-served paging message and information on network-served paging message resources for said transmission of said network-served paging message, transmitting, if said network-served paging related identifier indicative of transmission of said network-served paging message is detected in said network-served paging indicator resources corresponding to said terminal to be relayed and information indicative of paging of said terminal to be relayed is identified in said network-served paging message transmitted in said network-sewed paging message resources as a result of said monitoring, in inter-terminal paging indicator resources configured for said sidelink communication group and next to said network-served paging message resources including said information indicative of paging of said terminal to be relayed, an inter-terminal paging related identifier indicative of transmission of an inter-terminal paging message and information on inter-terminal paging message resources for said transmission of an said inter-terminal paging message, and transmitting said inter-terminal paging message in said inter-terminal paging message resources for said transmission of said inter-terminal paging message.

Abstract: This document discloses a solution for adaptive transmission of data packets. According to an aspect, a method comprises: scheduling a first wireless interface of a user device to operate in a first transmission mode where the first wireless interface transmits payload data to a wireless network; scheduling a second wireless interface of the user device or another user device to operate in a second transmission mode where the second wireless interface transmits keep alive messages without payload data to the wireless network or to another wireless network; receiving at least one measured connection quality metric from the first wireless interface and from the second wireless interfaces; and rescheduling, on the basis of the received connection quality metrics, a transmission mode of at least one of the first wireless interface and the second wireless interface.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for dynamic cell-specific delay for timing scaling in a non-terrestrial network (NTN). For example, certain embodiments may utilize a cell-common delay composed of FL and part of SL (until a cell-specific reference surface). A network node (e.g., a gNB) may calculate the cell-common delay as a function of time (T_c(t)) and may provide this function to the UEs (the satellite path may beis deterministic). The function of time may be a combination of two functions representing the FL and SL. The function can may be broadcasted in a system information block (SIB) or transmitted directly to the UE through radio resource control (RRC) signaling when it becomes active, is handed over, and/or regularly updated.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for communication in non-terrestrial networks are disclosed. A set of Doppler shift curves for different distances to one or more satellite orbits is obtained. Measurements of satellite transmission are performed to obtain estimate of instantaneous Doppler shift of the transmission, the measurements including a timestamp. A Doppler shift curve corresponding to the measurements is calculated. A time offset on the selected curve is determined utilising the timestamps of the measurements, the time offset indicating the position of the Doppler shift of the apparatus on the curve.
