Abstract:
A temperature control method adapted for a projector is provided. The projector includes a power supply unit, a battery, a cooling fan, a temperature detection unit, and a power management unit. The method includes: (a) switching power supply from the power supply unit to the battery, thereby maintaining a normal operation of the cooling fan and the temperature detection unit, when detecting a power outage of the power supply unit; (b) detecting a temperature of the projector; and (c) stopping supplying power to the projector, when the detected temperature of the projector reaches a predetermined value. Related projectors using the method are also provided.
Abstract:
To enable a main terminal device to implement specific functions in cooperation with a sub terminal device, when a fax machine serving as the main terminal device stores conversion request data in a shared area of its RAM (S130), a personal computer serving as the sub terminal device generates converted image data based on the conversion request data stored on the fax machine end and stores the resulting data on the fax machine end. Subsequently, the fax machine reads the converted image data stored by the personal computer and transmits this image data. In this way, the fax machine can direct the personal Computer to execute part of the process simply by storing request data in a shared area of the RAM, thereby transmitting converted image data in cooperation with the personal computer.
Abstract:
A process of providing operation oriented common signaling information services supports a plurality of different types of network distributed signaling functions in a network. The process includes the steps of: instantiating a class of network objects in a plurality of network entities forming a community, each of the network entities in the community having at least one of the network objects of the class, the class of network objects for modeling a corresponding one of the network distributed signaling functions; and providing a transparent operation oriented interface between the network objects of the network entities of the community, the operation oriented interface enabling interoperations between the network objects. At least one of the network objects is associated with a corresponding managed object that is mapped to the corresponding network object by public attributes of the corresponding network object. Each of the network objects includes external methods for accessing managed objects associated with other ones of the network objects via the transparent operation oriented interface. The external methods perform network operations, and are operative to invoke the performance of network operations by other ones of the network objects in the community.
Abstract:
A model is provided for transforming a program with a priori given class hierarchy that is induced by inheritance. An inheritance remover is configured to remove inheritance from a given program to produce an analysis-friendly program which does not include virtual-function pointer tables and runtime libraries associated with inheritance-related operations. The analysis-friendly program preserves the semantics of the given program with respect to a given class hierarchy. A clarifier is configured to identify implicit expressions and function calls and transform the given program into at least one intermediate program having explicit expressions and function calls.
Abstract:
A bandwidth configuration method includes: A terminal acquires that a narrow bandwidth mode is used at a network side by a downlink transmission signal and/or an uplink transmission signal; and the terminal configures a receiving bandwidth and/or a transmitting bandwidth, where the receiving bandwidth and/or the transmitting bandwidth corresponds to the narrow bandwidth mode at the network side. The terminal side can acquire whether the network side uses the narrow bandwidth technology, and automatically adjust a bandwidth of a corresponding channel at the terminal side when the network side uses the narrow bandwidth technology, so that intra-system performance loss and inter-system interference that are caused by different bandwidth modes between the terminal side and the network side are avoided, thus improving performance of a communication system.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus are provided for estimating Time of Arrival (“TOA”). The method includes: performing channel estimation according to a Normal Burst (“NB”) free of interference and a local training sequence and generating a channel estimate, performing TOA estimation according to the channel estimate, and adjusting a synchronization position of the current NB according to a TOA estimation result. Interference to signals is cancelled before the TOA estimation, thus overcoming energy estimate deviation arising from interference in a strongly interfering radio environment, as occurs in the prior art, and preventing the impact on the TOA estimation. The disclosed methods and apparatus provide for more accurate energy estimates in a strongly interfering radio environment. The technical solution under the present invention does not require adjustment of the method of adjusting the search window.
Abstract:
A method, a device and a system for detecting channel quality are provided. The method includes: judging whether a Transmit Power Control (TPC) symbol output by a receiver is an invalid symbol; when the TPC symbol is a valid symbol, judging whether polarities of in-phase/quadrature (I/Q) components of the valid symbol are opposite to each other; counting the number of invalid symbols, the number of valid symbols, and the number of valid symbols with opposite polarities; and estimating a Bit Error Rate (BER) according to the number of the invalid symbols, the number of the valid symbols, and the number of the valid symbols with the opposite polarities, and detecting the channel quality through the BER.
