    摘要: According to the present invention, a serial control signal interface and a serial data interface are provided in addition to a USB interface having a USB device controller, and a switching circuit for selectively connecting these interface to a system connector is provided on a mobile communication terminal device. Then, when an external device is connected to the system connector, it is determined whether or not the external device has an external interface having a USB host function on the basis of the interface identification voltage supplied from the external device, so that the switching circuit is changed over on the basis of the determination result to select an appropriate interface.

    摘要: An apparatus for reordering packet transactions within a peripheral interface circuit. The apparatus includes a source tagging unit and a control unit. The source tagging unit may be configured to generate a plurality of tag values each corresponding to one of a plurality of packet commands. The control unit may include a first storage unit including a first plurality of locations and a second storage unit including a second plurality of locations. Each of the locations corresponds to one of the plurality of tag values. Each of the first plurality of locations may provide an indication of whether a given tag value corresponds to a first packet command in a given data stream. A first given location of the second plurality of locations corresponds to the tag value indicated by the first storage unit and stores a tag value of a second packet command in the given data stream.

    摘要: An apparatus and technique off-loads responsibility for maintaining order among requests directed to a same address on a split transaction bus from a processor to a split transaction bus controller, thereby increasing the performance of the processor. The present invention comprises an ordering circuit that enables the controller to defer issuing a subsequent (write) request directed to an address on the bus until a previous (read) request directed to the same address completes. By off-loading responsibility for maintaining order among requests from the processor to the controller, the invention enhances performance of the processor since the processor may proceed with program execution without having to stall to ensure such ordering. The ordering circuit maintains ordering in an efficient manner that is transparent to the processor.

    摘要: Caching memory contents differently based on the region to which the memory has been partitioned or allocated is disclosed. A first region of a first line of memory to be cached is determined. The memory has a number of regions, including the first region, over which the lines of memory, including the first line, are partitioned. Each region has a first variable having a corresponding second variable. If the first variable for any region is greater than its corresponding second variable, one such region is selected as a second region. A line from the lines of the memory currently stored in the cache and partitioned to the second region is selected as the second line. The second line is replaced with the first line in the cache, the first variable for the second region is decremented, and the first variable for the first region is incremented.

Selection of a hyperlink to information content results in generation of a menu of versions of files containing that information content.
