    Abstract: A communication method and a communications apparatus, the method including receiving, by an access and mobility management function (AMF) entity, a first message from a first access network device, where the first message comprises information for indicating to hand over a voice service of a terminal from a packet switched (PS) domain to a circuit switched (CS) domain, the first message further comprises identification information of a target device, and the target device is a second access network device in a 3G network, and sending, by the AMF entity, through a mobility management entity (MME) a request message to a mobile switching center (MSC) entity, where the request message comprises information indicating a source of the first message.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a random access processing method. A random access preamble and uplink data are sent in an initiation phase of a random access procedure, and the random access procedure is ended in time after feedback information for the uplink data is received. According to technical solutions provided in the embodiments of this application, a terminal side device may send the uplink data when sending the random access preamble in the random access procedure. In addition, the random access procedure can be ended in advance after the feedback information for the uplink data is received.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a scheduling request sending method and a terminal device. The method includes: if data on a first logical channel of the terminal device triggers a buffer status report BSR, and the first logical channel is not configured with logical channel scheduling request prohibition, triggering a scheduling request SR in a running process of a logical channel scheduling request prohibit timer, and determining, by the terminal device, whether to send the SR. In the embodiments of the present invention, unnecessary triggering of the SR can be reduced.

    Abstract: This application provides a radio scheduling method and apparatus. The radio scheduling method includes: receiving, by a terminal, a first message from a network device, where the first message indicates at least one index, each of the at least one index associated to an uplink grant resource corresponding to a logical channel; obtaining, by the terminal, a first uplink grant resource from the network device; determining, by the terminal, a first logical channel based on an index of the first uplink grant resource and the at least one index, wherein the at least one index comprises the index of the first uplink grant resource. The radio scheduling method in embodiments of this application helps ensure that the terminal selects an appropriate logical channel, thereby helping satisfy reliability requirements of different services.

    Abstract: Various embodiments provide a resource allocation method and an apparatus. In those embodiments, a terminal device obtains a first parameter indicating a maximum service data volume to be provided by an access network device for a first service in a first time length; and determines, based on the maximum service data volume, a resource of a media access control protocol data unit MAC PDU, the resource being occupied by buffered data of the first service. In those embodiments, the terminal device determines, based on the maximum service data volume of the first service, the resource of the MAC PDU. Compared with a conventional method, the maximum service data volume of the first service is considered. This helps improve reasonableness of allocating the resource of the MAC PDU to the data of the first service.

    Abstract: An access network device sends first information and second information to a terminal, where the first information includes a value set of a communication time interval, and the second information indicates a value of the communication time interval in the value set, and the value is used to determine timing duration of a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) round trip time (RTT) timer. The communication time interval includes at least one of a time interval from the terminal receiving downlink scheduling grant information to the terminal receiving downlink data scheduled by using the downlink scheduling grant information, a time interval from the terminal receiving downlink data to the terminal sending HARQ feedback information of the downlink data, and a time interval from the terminal receiving uplink scheduling grant information to the terminal sending uplink data scheduled by using the uplink scheduling grant information.
