摘要: A torsional vibration damping device in which a first rolling contact surface that is curved with a center of curvature at a location offset from a rotation center of a rotating body, which rotates upon receiving a torque, is formed along a circumferential direction of the rotating body at a location offset from the rotation center of the rotating body in a radial direction, and which includes the rolling element that is brought into contact with the first rolling contact surface by receiving a centrifugal force resulting from rotation with the rotating body and that rolls along the first rolling contact surface through torsional vibrations of the rotating body is described. The rolling element includes a first rolling element that rolls along the first rolling contact surface and that is formed in a hollow shape, and a second rolling element that is arranged inside the first rolling element such that the second rolling element rolls along a second rolling contact surface formed inside the first rolling element.

摘要: A host computer acquires a usage amount of a memory of a printing apparatus upon accepting a print instruction, and if the acquired free capacity of the memory is greater than a predetermined value, transmits generated print data based on the accepted print instruction. If the acquired free capacity of the memory is less than the predetermined value, the host computer displays a message before transmitting the print data.

摘要: A power transmission system having a pendulum damper is provided. A rolling member of the pendulum damper is arrange in a rotary member, and a vibration damping performance of the pendulum damper is enhanced by increasing an inertia moment of the rolling member to be larger than that of the rotary member. The power transmission system is comprised of a hydraulic route for transmitting power between an input member and an output member through a fluid coupling, a mechanical route for transmitting power between the input member and the output member by engaging a lockup clutch, a pendulum damper that damps torsional vibrations of the output member by an oscillating motion caused by the torsional vibrations, and an elastic damper that damps the torsional vibrations by a relative rotation between a drive member and a driven member connected through an elastic member. The pendulum damper is disposed on the mechanical route, and one of the lockup clutch and the elastic damper is disposed on an output side of the pendulum damper.

摘要: A clevis pin (connecting pin) (26) is inserted into a clearance hole (72), and is displaceable relative to an operating pedal (16). A pivotal moving link (68) is disposed between the clevis pin (26) and a sensor pin (64) of a load sensor (30). A reaction force applied from the clevis pin (26) to the load sensor (30) always acts in a substantially constant direction (substantially leftward in FIG. 1A) even if the operating pedal (16) and an operating rod (22) are pivoted relatively around the axis of the clevis pin (26) in accordance with the depressing operation of the operating pedal (16). Thus, the detecting accuracy of the load sensor (30) is heightened, and variation in detecting accuracy is prevented, rendering the high reliability.

摘要: A vibration damping device capable of achieving sufficient vibration damping effect utilizing members for converting kinetic energy into thermal energy. In the vibration damping device, a plurality of members is attached to an object to be vibrated in a manner to displace relatively while being contacted with each other, and vibrations of the vibrating object is damped by converting kinetic energy resulting from the vibrations of the object into thermal energy by the relative displacement of the plurality of members. The vibration damping device includes a tightening member, which is attached to the plurality of members to tighten the plurality of members so as to increase frictional force among the plurality of members.

摘要: A control method for a control apparatus includes obtaining an amount of a recording material applied on a first area of a sheet and an amount of a recording material applied on a second area of the sheet on the basis of image data recorded on the sheet stacked on a stacking unit; and performing control, in a case where a plurality of sheets are stacked on the stacking unit, so that a difference between a total amount of the recording material applied on the first area of the sheets and a total amount of the recording material applied on the second area of the sheets does not exceed a predetermined value on the basis of the obtained amount of the recording material. With this method, a limit of the number of stacked sheets is relieved while stability of the stacked sheets is maintained.

摘要: The purpose of this invention is to provide a pleated-type filter used for an apparatus for collecting dust that is optimally designed and to provide the apparatus for collecting dust using the filter, wherein the pleated-type filter can keep the resistance to its ventilation low when the filter is installed in the apparatus for collecting dust so that the pleats are directed vertically, and wherein the area for installing the main bodies of the pleated-type filters can be reduced as much as possible. The ratio of the apertures of the pleats (P/H) that is defined by the intervals (P) between the crests of adjacent pleats of the main body and the heights (H) of its pleats ranges from 0.1 to 0.3. The ratio is determined based on the relationship between the area for installing the pleated-type filters and the ratio of the apertures of the pleats (P/H). This is done by using the resistance to ventilation of the contaminated filtering cloth, which resistance corresponds to a coefficient of resistance that is caused by a filtering cloth and residual dust that cannot be shaken off from the filter by means of the shaking-off operation.

摘要: A character pattern generation apparatus generates a character pattern on the basis of font data in a stroke format. A data generation unit generates character data, character element data, or stroke data on the basis of the font data in the stroke format. A storage unit stores the character data, character element data, or stroke data generated by the data generation unit. A discrimination unit discriminates whether character data, character element data, or stroke data corresponding to a character pattern to be generated is stored in the storage unit. When the discrimination unit determines that character data, character element data, or stroke data corresponding to the character pattern to be generated is stored in the storage unit, a character pattern generation unit generates the character pattern on the basis of the character data, character element data, or stroke data stored in the storage unit.
