    摘要: A display device is provided including an optical waveguide, and a light source, and also a louver, a transparent/scattering state switching element, and a transmissive liquid crystal display panel, provided in order on the side of a light-emitting surface of the optical waveguide. The transparent/scattering state switching element switches between a state for scattering the incident light and a state for transmitting the light without scattering. The light source drive circuit causes the transparent/scattering state switching element to transfer from the transparent state to the scattering state, and when the viewing angle range of the display is switched from narrow to wide, the intensity of the light source is gradually increased in conjunction with the transition state of the transparent/scattering state switching element.

The liquid crystal display device includes a reflective display area and a transmissive display area within a pixel that is configured with a pair of opposing substrates and a liquid crystal layer provided between the substrates. The reflective display area achieves display by reflection of light, and the transmissive display area achieves display by transmission of light. A laminated body including a reflective plate, an insulating layer, and a metal electrode for rotating liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer within a surface thereof is provided within the reflective display area.

The first passage connects the first cartridge to the first nozzle array. The second passage connects the second cartridge to the second nozzle array. The connecting passage connects the first and second passages at first and second connecting portions, respectively. The first valve is provided in the first passage between the first cartridge and the first connecting portion. The second valve is provided in the second passage between the second cartridge and the second connecting portion. Both the first and second valves are open and the third valve being closed in a first state. The third valve and either one of the first and second valves are open in a second state.

    摘要: A light source apparatus permits an angular range of illumination light to be changed, wherein the apparatus can be made thin. A related display apparatus permits a visible angular range to be changed using the light source apparatus. The display apparatus can be mounted in a terminal device, ahd an optical member and an optical unit can be incorporated in the light source apparatus. The light source apparatus is provided with a light guide plate with a conical sheet. Two light sources are provided on side surfaces of the light guide plate. Two inclined surfaces whose inclination angles to a light output surface differ from each other are formed at a light diffusion surface of the light guide plate. The conical sheet is provided with a flat plate portion on which a plurality of cones are formed. The cones protrude toward the light guide plate.
