Abstract:
Method for pairing an actuator with at least one wireless transmitter within a closing installation including a receiver receiving signals transmitted by the transmitter, wherein the method includes steps of placing the transmitter at a determined distance from the receiver and sending, from the transmitter and to the receiver, an initial configuration signal; using the receiver, collecting an identifier of the transmitter contained in the configuration signal and determining the power of that signal; and comparing the determined power of the signal with a pre-established threshold value; if the determined power of the signal is above the pre-established threshold value, storing the identifier of the transmitter and the value of this power in a memory associated with the actuator; and if the determined power of the signal is lower than the pre-established threshold value, rejecting the transmitter as being incompatible with a desired operation of the installation.
Abstract:
The present invention provides SERF2, a nucleic acid encoding said SERF2 or a cell expressing SERF2 for use as a medicament, in particular for use for use in treating or preventing an atrophy disease or condition or for increasing cellular growth in a patient such as sarcopenia, cachexia, dystrophy, hypoplasia, hypotonia, or muscle loss, as well as in vitro methods suitable for cell culture proliferation and pharmaceutical compositions.
Abstract:
The invention relates to stathmin, stathmin, a nucleic acid encoding said stathmin or a cell expressing stathmin for use in the treatment of chronic wounds or disease- or medication-dependent impaired wound healing in a patient or for increasing or inducing the proliferation and/or migration of mesenchymal cells, of stem cells, for stimulating immune cells, preferably natural killer cells, for stimulating fibroblasts, for stimulating epithelial cells, preferably epithelial cells of the epidermis, or for stimulating angiogenesis.
Abstract:
A practical economic and technical model for building commercial-grade electronic file delivery services that provide the same scale, predictability, and differentiated service levels as physical courier services traditionally used to move electronic data on physical media. Systems and methods for providing such services using a charge-back scheme based on congestion pricing are described.
Abstract:
Described is an I/O driven, feedback based rate control mechanism that allows a transfer session to self-adjust its transfer rate in response to the speed of the storage device at the destination. The described system may operate at the application layer, which makes cross-platform deployment an easier task
Abstract:
A method of serving content to multiple clients via a network is provided. Independent sessions with each of a plurality of clients are maintained, wherein the number of clients in the plurality of clients can vary over time, and wherein the start of each session and the end of each session can be independent of the start and end of other sessions. A stream of packet payloads is received, each packet payload of the stream of packet payloads including data generated from the content, wherein each packet payload in at least a subset of the stream of packet payloads includes a different set of data. Each packet payload in the stream of packet payloads is transmitted to each client of the plurality of clients in corresponding packets, wherein the packet payload transmitted to a client at any particular time is independent of the state of the corresponding session.
Abstract:
This disclosure relates to network data communication. Some embodiments include initiating a network connection between an original source and an ultimate destination, transmitting a block of data from the original source to the ultimate destination on the network, requesting retransmission of lost blocks from the ultimate destination to the source and retransmitting the lost blocks from source to the ultimate destination. These embodiments further include measuring round-trip time of a retransmit request, the round-trip time measured from a time of transmission of a retransmit request from the ultimate destination to a time of reception at the ultimate destination after retransmission from the original source and setting the round-trip time as a minimum retransmission request time for the network connection, wherein the round-trip time includes latencies of the network connection and in data processes at the original source and at the ultimate destination.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a system includes a fuel nozzle that includes a fuel injector configured to output a fuel flow and a premixer tube disposed about the fuel flow output from the fuel injector. The premixer tube includes a perforated portion and a non-perforated portion, and the non-perforated portion is downstream of the perforated portion.
