Abstract: Methods and apparatus for multiple user uplink are provided. In one aspect, a method for wireless communication includes receiving, via a first device, a first wireless message granting permission for the first device to transmit a message during a transmission opportunity, the first wireless message being transmitted to the first device at least partially concurrently with a transmission of at least a portion of a second wireless message addressed to a second device, the first wireless message being received over a first spatial stream and the second wireless message being transmitted over a second spatial stream; and transmitting, via the first device, a third message to a third device during the transmission opportunity at least partially concurrently with a transmission of a fourth message by the second device to the third device.

Abstract: A user terminal for multiple-user wireless communication is provided, comprising a transmit buffer configured to store uplink data for transmission. The user terminal comprises a processor configured to generate a request to transmit frame in response to uplink data being present in the transmit buffer, and initiate a transmit timer for determining when to transmit the request to transmit frame. The user terminal comprises a transmitter configured to transmit the request to transmit frame when the transmit timer expires or when the uplink data present in the transmit buffer exceeds a threshold amount. The user terminal comprises a receiver configured to receive a clear to transmit frame from an access point based on the transmitted request to transmit frame. The transmitter is further configured to transmit the uplink data present in the transmit buffer, concurrently with at least one other user terminal transmitting uplink data, to the access point at a specified time based on receiving the clear to transmit frame addressed to the user terminal.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for communicating data in a wireless communications network are described herein. In some aspects, a relay provides relay services for network communication between a first station and a second station. In one aspect, the relay may receive data packets sent to the second station by the first station, and retransmit the data packets if it determines that the second station has not acknowledged the data packet. In one other aspect, the first station may be configured to transmit a relay-able acknowledgement that includes a sequence number identifying data being acknowledged. The relay may be configured to receive a transmission of a first relay-able acknowledgement by the first station and retransmit a second relay-able acknowledgement if it determines the second station did not receive the first relay-able acknowledgement sent by the first station. In some aspects, the second station is an access point.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may receive a configuration message that includes overlapping basic service set (OBSS) coordination parameters. The OBSS coordination parameters may be used to select an OBSS preamble detection (PD) threshold or a transmission (TX) power, or both. For example, an OBSS coordination parameter may include an indication of an OBSS PD threshold or the TX power or a range of OBSS PD thresholds or TX powers. In some cases, the coordination parameter may include selection criteria that may be used to select the indicated OBSS PD threshold or TX power. Additionally or alternatively, a range of selection criteria may be used to select from a range of OBSS PD thresholds and TX powers. The wireless device may use the selected OBSS PD threshold or TX power to communicate with an AP or other devices.

Abstract: Systems and methods for wireless communication are disclosed. In one aspect an access point transmits a message to a first device and a second device on a first channel, the message sufficient to inform the first device to camp on a first channel during a time slot and the message sufficient to inform the second device to camp on a second channel during the time slot. The access point further determines whether the first channel is busy during the time slot. If the first channel is determined to not be busy during the time slot, the access point communicates with the first device on the first channel during the time slot. If the first channel is determined to be busy during the time slot, the access point communicates with the second device on the second channel during the time slot.

Abstract: In some aspects, a method for configuring channel access parameters in a wireless communication system includes determining, at an access point, an enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) parameter for a first subset of stations of a plurality of stations, the first subset of stations capable of transmitting multi-user uplink transmissions. The method further includes generating an information element including the EDCA parameter. The method further includes transmitting the information element such that the information element is decodable by the first subset of stations and not by a second subset of stations of the plurality of stations.
