摘要: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for high efficiency (HE) beacons. HE supported access points (APs) and stations (STAs) may operate on resource deployments used for Wi-Fi technology and without support for legacy devices, also referred to as a greenfield deployment. An AP may identify updated capability information and transmit a HE physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) including a beacon frame. A STA may receive, from the AP, the HE or EHT PPDU and identify an indication of change to a content or format of the beacon frame relative to a reference beacon frame. Based on the identified indication, the STA may then determine an updated content or format for the beacon frame and process the beacon frame or skip processing for one or more portions of the beacon frame.

摘要: Adaptive energy detection (ED) threshold medium access is discussed based on deployment and traffic type. The network nodes sharing a shared communication network are configured with multiple discrete ED thresholds or a range of ED values. As a transmitting node prepares to attempt access to the shared communication spectrum, it identifies an access trigger condition within the network. Such a condition may include traffic type, deployment, or access conditions. In response to detecting an access trigger condition, the transmitting node may select an ED threshold associated with the access trigger condition. Alternatively, upon detection of the access trigger condition, the transmitting node may implement a random ED threshold from the candidate range of ED threshold values.

Various implementations relate generally to coordinated transmit power control for sharing time and frequency resources of a wireless medium. Particular implementations relate more specifically to coordinated access point spatial-reuse-multiple-access techniques for sharing the time and frequency resources of a transmission opportunity. According to such techniques, an access point that wins contention and gains access to the wireless medium for the duration of a transmission opportunity may limit the transmit powers of the access points selected to share the time and frequency resources such that interference from the selected access points does not prevent stations associated with the winning access point from successfully decoding packets transmitted by it.

This disclosure includes multiple options for extending an A-Control field. Furthermore, a receiving device may acknowledge the A-Control field using various techniques disclosed herein.

In some implementations, the preamble designs can include a combination of modulation schemes, data rate indications and length indications enabling devices capable of receiving and decoding wake-up signals to identify the signals as wake-up signals (for example, WUR packets), while ensuring that devices not capable of receiving and decoding wake-up signals identify the wake-up signals as legacy packets, or otherwise not WUR packets.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for using a locally administered address (LAA) on a network. In some aspects, a candidate address from an LAA range may be selected by either a first apparatus (such as a wireless station, STA) or a network apparatus (such as an access point, AP). A candidate address test may be performed by the STA or AP to determine if another apparatus is using the candidate network address on a communication medium. An extended address test may be used to determine if the candidate network address is being used by another apparatus in a layer two (data link layer) domain of a network. Several techniques for changing an LAA are provided, including techniques that use a fast session transfer (FST) procedure. In a peer-to-peer network, address changes may be handled using tunneled address change messages.

摘要: Detection and reporting techniques for collisions between transmitters of two different radio access technologies (RATs) transmitting in a shared radio frequency spectrum band is described. The collision may occur following a listen-before-talk procedure but prior to transmission of data, and may not affect the reception of the transmitted data. Collisions may be detected using for example, energy sensing, preamble or ready-to-send (RTS) signal detection, or unsuccessful decoding of all or part of a channel reservation signal. A transmitting device may determine a collision has occurred by detecting an energy level during a preamble transmission is greater than a threshold level or by detecting that an energy level during a transmission gap of a time-domain energy pattern is above a threshold level. A receiving device, such as a user equipment (UE), that detects the collision may report the collision to the transmitter.

摘要: Techniques for adjusting a contention window (CW) for transmissions in a shared radio frequency spectrum band may include identifying a number of nodes attempting to transmit using a channel of a shared radio frequency spectrum band and determining a target CW based on the number of nodes attempting to transmit. A new CW value may then be determined based on a prior CW value and the target CW value, and a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure (e.g., a clear channel assessment (CCA)) to access the channel of the shared radio frequency spectrum band may be performed to access the channel.
